Severance (AppleTV)

I’ve watched the first season (9 episodes) and find it very interesting. The premise is disturbing, the same way many of the Black Mirror story lines were.

Anyone else watching?

Finally...in another six months

Niiiice

6 more months? damn

Three years since the first season, good excuse for a rewatch i guess.
Im excited, but it will be hard to surpass that first season, or deliver on that insane cliffhanger.

Holy **** we're back. Great first episode, so much intriguing stuff already. Helly's outie is clearly in there messing with stuff and might be the main 'villain' this season, what is Irv's hallway, what is Ms Casey's file about?

And seen in the break room

I was nervous at the start of E4 but boy it was awesome. A lot to unpack

Spoiler
Show

I'm really interested in finding out how the fact that outie Helena just boned innie Mark...like she won't remember ofc which is weird. But Mark S obv will.

Also hope it isn't the end of Turturro on the show (I don't think it will be). He is putting on a master acting class in this show. Like wow he is just a great actor

It seems like waiting 3 years paid off because season 1 was a nearly impossible act to follow but season 2 is doing a very good job so far

Yeah this is living up to the hype so far, god it's good

There are lots of Severance recaps out there but the youtuber "Think Story" does an *amazing* job. After watching his videos, I wonder how I missed half the stuff he brings up. It just improves on the experience! I recommend it.

is this a thread where all spoilers will be put in spoilers?

Yeah TS is great. I've been subbed for over 5 years now

They better not **** this up

Weakest episode by far. Although last 10 minutes or so were a little better. Scenes with Harmony just drag.

That was pretty gross when they kissed.

I don't watch a lot of TV but show looked intriguing and was instantly hooked. I play a lot of video games and it reminds me of a mix of themes from Bioshock and the Stanley Parable. Such a great show, lots of twists and turns, great acting, great music and visuals. Just creative and intriguing. Was surprised to learn Ben Stiller is the executive producer of a more drama and mystery style show.

I thought episode 8 was pretty weak and short (38 min). However, Youtuber Think Story revealed a bunch of stuff that went over my head. Explained a ton of stuff.

Very good, not elite season imo. Some truly standout episodes (retreat and Gemma focused one), and most of the rest were good.

Ending was very The Graduate-esque

I hope Milkshake takes on the marching band like Neo vs Mr. Smiths.

If the actor that played Milkshake isn't at least nominated for an Emmy. I'll riot.

Finale was epic. Choreography and Merriment indeed!

Clever and fun episode. High quality season ending.

About 20 years ago I went to the football bowl game between UCLA and Florida State. Unfortunately, Florida State kicked our ass. That year, another Florida team, the University of Florida had the best team in the country. So the next football season a group of us decide to fly across the country to catch some Florida football. When we arrived in Florida, we were talking to our taxi driver and he said don't go to either a Florida State or University of Florida game, but instead go to a Florida A and M University football game and make sure to not miss the marching band at half time.

Severance nailed it perfectly what I saw FAMU Marching Band do 20 years ago.

I appreciate them making the episodes longer this season. Especially the finale.

Just an instant classic of a show...
