Hi I want Learn plo
What books and what trainers would you recommend to start plo?

Can you critique his advice more specifically?
And what do you recommend instead in terms of introductory resources for someone transitioning from NLH to PLO? I've heard of
- Jeff Hwang's book "Pot Limit Omaha Poker" - I'm reading this now
- JNandez's book "Mastering Small Stakes Pot Limit Omaha" - Planning on reading this next
- Websites such as RunItOnce, UpSwing Poker, PLO Mastermind (also Jnandez, I think) - I'll consider these, but my life isn't in terrible need of more subscription services
Starting to feel like a shill for mastermind but
Jnandez Book is all you need to beat any stakes live in the USA and prolly up to PLO200 online
Weisman has a good course on Upswing but will cost significantly more.
PLO Professor is a fish and one of the reasons Florida PLO remains so insanely profitable. Love the fact he is also contributing to the eco by teaching more players to play just like him. Make sure you support him! I watch every video!

Do you mean for live cash games? Or tournaments as well? And how big do live stakes get in terms of publicly available games? (i.e. not private, invite-only games)
I think you're talking about
for $999US, right? Is that course actually suitable for someone who still needs to learn the basics?
Also, I'm quite skeptical of learning by video... If there isn't active practice and feedback, deep cognitive processing, etc. then no learning will occur. The course description seems to list mainly videos and some quizzes, but I find those who aren't pedagogy nerds usually don't make great assessments. Of course, a learner *can* be super proactive and create quizzes, practice scenarios, etc. out of the videos, but that might not be efficient for a beginner.
And $999 might seem like a lot, but if the videos help turn people into a $500/1000 PLO crushers, it does seem very much worth it, doesn't it? :-)
Overall, what did you think of the course?
Can you be more specific about what makes you say this?
Depends where you live. I have a regular 2/5/10 and 5/5/10 game I always have access too with a 10/25 private game 3 days out of the week.
Dylan has a beginner course for like $50 or so then a Live PLO course for like $700 and then that one. All are great.
Professor has no concept of how to play a baseline, therefore his exploits are based on some concept of "feel poker" and his own personal experiences and biases. It works at your local 2/2 but what most people don't realize, is that live poker is so incredibly soft, having a winrate of like 10bb/hr at 2/5 is like breaking even. Players are so incredibly bad, if you arent winning at a much higher clip, its because you are doing something wrong to bring your winrate down.

Nandez commenting plo donkessor's play for 45 mins https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5eeZOGrM....
Agree with Eche that Nandez book is all you need for starters.
Best way to I'm earn is to watch what the morons at your table do, then do the opposite.

Like Reubenβs book, Profβs videos are entertaining, but his preflop standards are a little loose imo. Seem like fun games he plays in though.

Profβs comments to the video were funny. Like someone else commented, game selection & not tilting go a long way.
Thoughts on Greg Vailβs SCOOP series?
