Questions about Variance and the Mental Game
1) In a soft lineup, particularly live, what are pros and cons of always running it once?
Pro: If Villain loses and is me
I dont believe RIT is bad, since i use it often.
I just know RIO is higher EV because of rake, but im willing to accept it in exchange for less variance/better mindset.
I already explained everything.
RIO > RIT because it takes less time. Your EVbb/100 stays the same but you are hurting your hourly - not because of some extra rake fallacy, but because you are wasting extra time per hand when RIT.
This becomes even worse in spots where you are starting a table and a fish joins you HU. It's basically a race against time as every additional reg that joins is taking a huge slice out of your winrate and this will add up, especially if you play in games with low traffic.
Another spot where RIO is better is when a fish is deeper than you and you want to flip your way up to cover his stack.
