Repot and pray. Otherwise fold pre.
Maybe fold pre is just the play here. SB gonna be very strong here pre. Fish is gonna be potting and putting you to the decision a lot with the btn still behind. It’s going to be very difficult to play both boards this way so maybe just continue a much tighter range here pre.
Also I’m a noob at double board so take this all with a grain of salt.
I am not an expert at PLO, but I have played a lot of double board PLO bomb pots. IDK about preflop, I am guessing one of your suits was ace high, right? Feels like that would be the minimum to continue and maybe still folding then? After BB calls and there were 2 limpers we're likely 5 ways to the flop.
I think we should repot the flop. Whale capable of being wide here, I wouldn't be too worried about SB who might have a NFD but often is just going to have overcards and big cards that missed. Have to dodge button which is a risk, but most of the time he probably is not going to have much either. Whale on the other hand could have something like A5, just a flush draw, 65 or other made hand on one board without redraw, a heart draw without a nutted made hand. So it feels like it is good to get it in now and clean up our equity against some hands from button and SB that might call 320 but not the repot.
If V wasn't described as a huge whale I would not feel as good here because I feel like really strong players probably aren't potting without at least 1 nutted made hands and hearts most of the time. Your hand might be the bottom of a strong players potting range from BB here I'm guessing. But from my experience with whales in double board PLO bomb pots, there range will include hands like that, but generally it's way wider than that and they are capable of getting free rolled a lot.
EDIT: If BB is a whale, CO is a fish, maybe button a fish, maybe that justifies us calling pre, assuming we have 1 ace high suit?
If I am in this hand, I pot it. Doesn't get much better vs a whale. SB should not have much.
Yes we had a nut suit that didn’t come on either board.
I did think I should usually fold pre but could stack or free roll whale for a big pot if we make nut flush on either and we do have big draw potential.
Pot flop seems ok. Stack sizes are a bit awkward and in general Hero prefers to fast-play flop, rather than let villain slow down and check-call turn. Call isn't terrible or anything, its relatively close. One reason to raise is that its normally a bad thing for Hero if 3 players are going all-in on the turn so we can reduce reverse implied odds on future streets by raising immediately.
If hand is suited to the A it's a very standard call, and is a top 14% hand. If its not suited to the A, its only a 32% hand (still more than enough equity to call), but imo is good at realizing or over-realizing equity post-flop. Double-board is a different animal and hands like this with full board coverage can allow Hero to contest both boards and play some big pots.
yeah, think i'm potting here and trying to gii vs the whale.
