Mediocre Hand

$5-$5 plo. I cover.

Limp from a rando, super agro button makes it $25. I call BB with JTss97dd

Flop is Jh7h6s. (pot $75)

I check, rando pots to $75, button tank calls.

Rando has $100 behind and button has $500 behind. I pot.

I would 3b pre at 100bb. Getting it heads up is good. As played check pot is good.

3b pre all day every day.

As played check pot is fine. You can also consider donking here. 5 nut outs, bdfd, Q and K giving you a double gutter means that you have lots of easy turn barrels. Especially with the gutter you have a strong enough hand to go with it but your hand is also very vulnerable - part of why donking is appealing, because there are lots of hands that have equity against you that may check behind. The original raiser behind the one isolating the limper means that the limper may decide to check more hands to the raiser that he would otherwise be betting.

Everything wazz said.

As played we want to fold out weaker hands from button to protect equity.

Don’t understand point of post.

The reason why we want to 3B is not only to get it HU but we can cover so many boards where villain will most likely call with a bunch of random disconnected hands that we can do very well against postflop. We can also potentially cooler hands like 5678, 4567, T678, 6789, and other smaller run downs.

And with our SPR we can either check pot or just pot ourselves as we can flop a lot of different draws or even have some fold equity by representing strong hands on dry A high boards.

I go over what are some other good hands to 3B vs very aggressive players as well as 4B in this recent video I posted on my channel where I give free advice, lessons and strategies as well as review hands on streams and play and explains. I hope it helps!
