Over value? 10PLO PLO newbie
Hi All, I am new to PLO but not new to poker. Did well at 5plo over 5k hands, playing some 10 plo and seem to be getting crushed.
Reading Hwangs and Jnandez's books have a 3rd I have not opened yet from Okolowitz/Tacschner. I am not 3 betting enough, and probably folding pre a tad too much.
Did I overvalue this hand?

I think it is fine, doubt he had something better to begin with and less so on this flop. If he backdoored a flush, such is life.
Seems pretty straightforward
Folding pre a little too much is one of the smallest leaks you can have. For what you gain, the price is reasonable to stay tight until you feel like you have a real handle on postflop and thus what to play from where preflop.
When you 3b pre and hit this flop, you can't avoid the money going in. Barring a very specific read on an opponent only ever having a set when they make positive action. But even then it's hard to fold because you might be wrong and have KQTx in some trouble.
