Very deep 5 card hand
2/2 5 card PLO
KJT87ds. 8 high clubs, K high spades.
I'm in EP. There is a mandatory $5 btn straddle. I pot to $20, 4 calls. I think raising is okay but prefer to have J high clubs.
So 3 of the callers have $500 or less. We started with $3800ish. The 4th caller in MP has us covered.
Flop ($105) QJ5ccs

Pretty easy check.
Preference for a better hand is irrelevant. Is it good enough is the question.
Very true. I do believe it's still good enough but not sure whether to open limp or raise since this is Live PLO and it goes multiway often.
Even with the fact that most of the players only have $500 or less? I thought maybe I should check, but if I bet and deep stack guy folds, I can barrel a lot of turns and with plenty of equity and probably fold equity. Not a fan of 8 high clubs though. 9 or A is nuts but still. I thought with bd K high fd betting could be okay. Also with holding the J block JJ and have potential with a J on turn. Problem is 1 bet likely isn't going to generate enough folds and I'm OOP. If I get x/r now the pot is bloated and I could be in bad shape vs wrap + fd, same sd + better fd, set vs better fd, etc.
Def a check 5 ways
Checking for sure, will have to fold if there’s a bet and a raise, can check call a bet.
I would limp this hand pre if it’s about to go multi way, we will want to play a small pot.
Is this at MD Live?
One of the best and juiciest 2/2/5 5-handed PLO games I have ever played in. The amount of terrible rec players vs solid regs is incredibly high. I used to play in it a decent amount a few years ago, unfortunately I have not been able to play there in a while due to trying to get another business venture off the ground. Questionable decision, as I would have made more money playing in that game instead lol.
If you are posting here and discussing strat, I am sure you are killing it there as that already puts you well above 95% of the player pool. Enjoy it while it lasts!

I'm surprised you guessed MD live lol. Though I'm not sure of many places that play 5 card. The games at Live are so good. I mostly play at Horseshoe Baltimore which is 4 card but I've been mixing it up and going back and forth recently.
pretty easy x with 6card draw vs multiple opponents
