Plo4 cards with straddles all around
Im playing a game where players can straddle from any position to any amount .
The game is 1-2 with max buy in of 500.
Usually there is a maniac or two who straddle each hand to 16 or 32
What would be the optimal strategy against this play ?
Just tighten the range and raise/ fold the straddle?

depends on the spr and the largest straddle and your position. in general, don't put much money into the pot unless you're planning on going all the way with your hand pre. learn who the lagtards are, who the predictable ones are that only have AAxx, play your raises accordingly.
You can limp raise with big cards.
yeah the high cards are easy , i dont mind get stack inside against the ranges they will go with me .
However , all the middling cards , like 689J single suited , or qq45 type of hands , shoule we limp with them for 4-8% of our stack ?

sometimes, if the price is right, if the hand is good enough, if it's for a small proportion of our stack, and if the remaining players behind us are less likely to attack than the ones who've already put money into the pot
