DBBP hand, Aria, 5-5-10/20

me: AQ34 offsuit, 3K deep
V1 1100ish, V2 also around 3K
V2 lost a big hand before, normally solid player, but was slightly tilting

we play bomb pot 50 each, so 400 in the middle

flop1 QQ9 (rb)
flop2 775 (2 clubs)

I'm SB, check with the intention to fold if there's serious action behind me (no shot on flop 2), but it gets checked around

turn:
flop 1: A
flop 2: 6 (another club)

now we have second nuts and a small str on a paired and flush board.
i lead for 75, V1 (1100 stack) raises to 400, V2 pots to 1675.
what do we do here?

Would they stab that flop with AAxx?

You definitely aren't winning the bottom.

well, thats the thing, im dead on the bottom, and if someone has aa i loose it all.

but, only to aa, and if that's not out there i make money 3 ways. tricky spot imo

Yeah, not a fun spot...

You also lose money if someone has AQ. I think you’re losing big amounts of EV stacking off here unless you have reads on both villains that they’re punters.

Agreed, the more I think about it it’s a -EV play.
In the hand it turned out ok, V2 was actually tilting harder than expected, I put it in and beat him on both boards (he didn’t show), other guy had 7-5 boat and I split the main pot with him (scooped the side)

gross spot, fold is probably ok - thought its quite awkward at the SPR.

Would lead flop at decent frequency. Hero hand benefits a lot from taking initiative, and this is a good example of a spot where its nice to have some smaller sizings in range.

Interesting that you say that, used to play it that way (play a ton of double board online), but decided to go another route. Thing is, when you get raised it’s really a tough spot to be in (with basically zero equity on board 2), and especially in those live games people play it really hard/aggressive when hitting one board well.

Had better success with this somewhat passive line, being able to call one bet, at the same time disguising my hand strength on board one
