low DP + NFD turn vs c/r
PLO100 - 5 players - All 100bb
Hero - CO - As 4c 7c 8s
fold, Hero raises to 3.5bb, fold, SB calls, BB folds
Flop (8bb) 4s 7d Jh
SB checks, Hero bets 6bb, SB calls
Turn (20bb) 4s 7d Jh Ks
Sb checks, Hero bets 14bb, SB raises pot, Hero ?
Villain is a good reg, slighty more aggressive than other regs
Preflop is ok i guess with this
Flop
low DP on this board.
Not that great, lot of bad turns
... but this flop connect my hands harder than his
bet for value/protection vs Jxxx / p+GS / ovp.
plus being oop, he's going to folds lots of average hands that i'm happy he would fold
Turn
i improve with that NFD incoming
Still beting fro value/protection on lots of things, and put pression on Jxxx / Kxxx etc...
maybe x back is better
got that big raise back... meh
I've got the NFD, so he would have less combo draws in his range (JTQx + FD, 568x + FD etc...). Not sure if that's relevant
Maybe a KKxx that hitted, a JJxx slowplayed (seems me weird, doesn't have lots of it).
Or KJxx + something (FD, KJ56 i dont think he defend it, and KQJT should have 3bet)
vs a standard reg, he seems me hard to find a ~35% to have a profitable gii here
but this guy is a little more agressive than average, so i don't know

I agree turn is most likely better to check. As played, pot-size might also be better because Hero doesn't mind more fold equity and will xback many rivers.
Agree with flop bet; even pot-sized bet is ok.
As played, I think call and you can fold at least the most obviously bad rivers - most broadway cards, maybe call down with aces up? If villain is a good reg his defend range should be broadway heavy, so I would assume most semi-bluffs are QJxx, and a smaller number of AJxx, perhaps with a flush redraw.
And if Hero pots each street it sets up for a nice triple barrel all-in, which is quite nice with the well-disguised straights and small boats that have good implied odds to be called down by bluffcatchers.
i agree with perflop and flop play.
but i check the turn. why?
a) don't like getting a CR
b) if the flush hits, you get massive payout (bc he won't put you on it, bc of the check)
c) you have bottom 2, so what is he calling with? either some kind of str draw (but unlikely, bc you also have the 8), more likely a Jxxx hand ... which can easily have improved when the K hits. now your bottom 2 could be up against top2, so you only play fl draw, and call a potsize reraise with that. thats why i like the check.
d) thats not even accounting for a worst case scenario like jj or kk
check flop or turn, u dont have 3 streets of value.
a ****ing trainwreck.
Against SB I check this flop for sure. As played check turn of course. You can't just bet a mediocre hand because he checks for god's sake. IP you need to be much more polarized.
Not a strong enough hand for me to bet. We need some boats in our range when the board pairs after we check. With a gutshot or better backdoors I'd be far more likely to bet.
As played this is a terrible turn to barrel. Think we're behind his turn jamming range and don't pick up a huge amount of value from hands we beat.
What does low DP mean?
DP = Double Pair (as in low two pair) is all I can come up with.
Agree with others that turn is a check. Pre and flop are fine. Not sure what to do now. It's all-in or fold. He could have a lot of hands we are behind, but we have outs. Hard to believe he has less than KJ, though, which we are far behind.
Pretty clear check on the turn as others have stated. As played, most likely calling for the flush only. 7 outs if he has a set and no spades, so you wouldn't have the equity to call. If you have more than 7 outs, prob 11 at best if he has KJ and no other spades, is he calling off his last 30bb or so if a flush card or 4/7 hits? If not, still a clear fold. If so, the numbers are close to call. Add it all up and prob a fold.
Btw i was saying not to bet the flop.
Check back flop, we need to check some of the middle of our range and this hand fits in nicely.
