2-5 PLO Top 2 vs a good player
The villain is a good player. They coach/instruct in PLO. They are on the aggro side. They probably have me marked as a call station (usually in 3 bet pots). We are 5 handed. Don't have a ton of crazy history, but have played a decent amount.
Villain 100BB
Hero 120BB
Preflop: Hero has Kh Qd Ts 6s in the BB
2 folds, Villain raises to 3.4BB, sb folds, hero calls
Flop: Ks 9h 6d (7.2BB)
Hero checks, Villain bets 5.4BB, Hero calls
Turn: Th (18BB)
Hero checks, Villain bet 13.5BB, hero calls
River: 5d (45BB)
Hero checks, Villain bets 45BB, hero folds
Are you doing anything different here? Is the river a mandatory call vs a good player with the Q blocker?
I was thinking, he could also have a lower straight as well. Do you play this hand any differently?

Just fold pre imo. Queen is very relevant so I call river.
Gto says it’s a call. Do you fold because the player is good or because it’s a marginal call?
I don’t think playing hu pots oop without initiative against great players is profitable.
I like the way you played it. Would probably play it the same. Maybe 1/5 i flick in a call otr. He can have 78 here though too.
Wp, I think I call river at least half of the time though.
I think flop x/r is probably better than call.
Against an aggro, I agree river is a lean call (or mixed call like others suggest), but it does seem close, especially if villain thinks you are super sticky.
