Turn improved my hand . . . didn't it?
Monday night is Omaha Night at my favorite fish pond, so I thought I'd dip a toe in. My primary target acts last in this hand. He is a donk who has cleaned up on the night by playing most every hand, tripping over the nuts, and somehow getting people to pay him off (including one sap who misread a straight).
The game, technically, is no-limit Omaha, for what it's worth. 1/2 blinds but it's $5 to bring it in. I have about $450 in front of me and I'm easily covered by both Villains.
Multiple $5 limps to me in the big blind and I raise A♣ K♣ K♠ Q♦ to $35. For reference, this is easily the biggest preflop raise I've seen on the night, as nobody else has dared raise to more than $15. Two calls.
Flop: Q♥ 8♣ 7♣
I bet $65, both players call.
Turn: Q♠
Hero . . .

Oooh no limit Omaha. Nice.
I don’t really know anything no limit theory but normally you can bet small here. You have outs to higher boats and this is a better card for you than them. When turns pair the board you generally bet small or check.
That said, Q8 can just rip it with a XR but I guess this hand is ok to fold since it’s double paired whereas folding a hand like AKQJ would be a disaster
So ~$300 pot on turn with about $350 behind?
I like something like 1/3 to 1/2 pot, and ripping it in on blank rivers. Not folding to a jam on turn, and giving villains good odds to hero call with worse made hands. Might xf a non-club J or 6 on river.
Please put pot sizes on each street.
I like a half pot bet; never folding, though.
If they are the types to chase or call w/ a Q, just shove now.
Thanks all. Still new to Omaha so glad to know I was on the right track.
Spoiler
I bet $150 and was put all-in by the donk, who had Q8xx and I missed my five-out draw for a better boat and got stacked.
Well played.
