I don’t like just calling this flop. You have heavy interaction on both boards and a very very strong hand on one. Even a naked straight on the bottom has to fold alot of the time to heavy aggression. You want to fold out all the nonsense with equity and you want to make sure everyone knows their entire stack is at risk here.

Raise flop and barrel turn. We hitting the ⛽️

Agree w. flop raise for value. Does not have to be full pot.

I definitely raise the flop.

As played, I'm not as happy as I was on the flop, especially after letting three other players in behind me. Yuck. I guess call? Folding seems too weak, but I'd consider it.

just call flop. call folding is too weak but I'd probably do it

Bettor's sizings strongly suggest he has some clue what he's doing. (unlike a monkey who pots flop with a lot of money behind and often has a vulnerable one-way hand). People with a clue who bet the turn into 4 people in 5 card double board basically always have the nuts on one board and at least a strong piece of the other. You have worst relative position and are very likely drawing thin or dead on the other board. You can expect to underrealize your equity and almost never have the chance to scoop. Clear fold IMO.

Okay, now that is out of the way. The game is complex. You are going to get conflicting advice. Here goes me agreeing and disagreeing to some of what has already been posted. The damn game is a scooping game. You cannot chop a flush. Only one person wins if two people have flushes. But you can chop a straight. Soooooooooo you have to understand the different between nuts that cannot be chopped versus nuts that can be chopped.

On the flop, you have the nuts that cannot be currently tied and you have a redraw to a flush and as already stated a flush cannot be tied/chopped. That is a real hand. Anyone betting this flop, like the SB, is probably betting the bottom board with a straight and a straight can be chopped. Therefore, that is one of the mistakes that the SB made on the flop. The other mistake made by SB is a cardinal sin in DBBP of betting the flop out of position. Eight players all go to the flop with random hands. What you don't do is lead out of position against this many hands because the people in position have a huge positional advantage. Anything worth betting out of position is better done as a check-raise. So in my opinion, for several reasons, I think SB doesn't know how to play DBBP well.

What Hero should have done is raise for multiple reasons. Hero should raise flop to isolate the weak SB. And Hero should raise flop because DBBP is a damn scooping game and you need to clear out all of these other players hoping to see the turn. I'm ranting about it being a scooping game, therefore Hero could raise pot on the flop for maximum pressure. But since SB bet and Hero in MP is raising, there is room to raise less and still have it be powerful because everyone else is staring at a bet and a raise. Hero's stack seems to be the effective stack in play as the original posts makes it look like everyone has more chips. So if you are able in game to be a Stack-to-pot wizard, then try to set up being able to bet pot on later streets. So if I am reading this correctly, if Hero raised on the flop to a total of about $325, then if it went heads up to the turn the SPR would be 4 and hero could bet pot on turn and pot on river and be exactly all in for maximum pressure. And if others called the flop it might be possible to get it all in on the turn. Hero should be driving the action on the flop with a raise with a current nut hand that cannot be tied and a redraw to a flush that cannot be tied. And the other board is not a hopeless cause with two pair that can win on it's own or improve or Hero can win the whole pot without even going to showdown by applying maximum pressure.

DBBP is a scooping game.

The hand played out:
Hero folds, hj pots, co shoves, sb and hj gii 3 ways

J52 6 Tx
965 3 9x

Co wins top with J6 + nut hearts
Mp has 78 + Kcc
Sb has 78 + bad hearts

Hero would have scooped :(

But raising shows real people honesty. You want to bluff that you're floating, so call.
