I block KKxx double-suited with spades. Does a nit ever have a hand like AKKx or AKJT?

You block the hands you want him to have like AK or the nfd.
That said it’s half pot so just flick it in.
For this price no
I fold almost no sets at 1/2 just cuz of so much random spew
i mean ... both what Omahadonk and echemondo say is true obv, but:
it's a 1-2/5 game. (with that i mean people play very straightforward)
the guy is a nit (as you describe)
he limps utg, waits for someone to raise, and then 3bets ... that screams (!!!) "i have aces"
the only other hand that would halfway make sense for him to shove is either kings or an ace with the nutflush draw (both not possible, bc you have that)
so, although i'd hate it, i probably fold (also bc i don't like to give money to super nits, who play super predictable abc poker like limp/reraise with aces)
Honestly not sure if such spots are very useful to analyze. Just make a guess based on what you know. "It doesn't matter" and "it depends" are both correct answers IMO.
I had only played with him for an hour. My gut was telling me he was a super nit. (After playing with him for five more hours, I noticed his VPIP was 10%.)

well, poker is a game of incomplete information ... and with the information you had at that point in time i'd lean to folding. but sure, it's close, especially with the low SPR
Thereβs different kind of nits.
Iβve seen ones that never 3b and only call even the best double suited aces because βthey r just acesβ and then angry fold flops
Then Iβve seen some that limp all and only put money in when they can jam.
Some aces are correct to limp/jam in live poker, especially rainbow ones.
What I would focus more on in this spot is how willingly he puts money in the middle in big spots. Will he only ever do this with a set or can he have a hand like 2p with a FD or str8 draw?
For this price, he could just be in a mood, and even though we block the hell out of so much, and we get shown the top set so regularly, we have decent equity when we're ahead.
Call and find out.
Snap call. I think pre might be a fold against the backraise - 450 is the biggest effective stack so when we do flop a set or some kind of big hand there's not a ton of money to be made. Furthermore if the flop comes like 72Jr we're flipping against a hand like AJ - think pre is close and might be the only interesting part of this hand.
Continue. off story?
If we are considering calling with the A on the flop, why are we not just 4 betting this preflop then?
If he is only limp/3-betting AAxx, then it is a fold.
You are getting 3-1, but you are about 6% against AA with basically one out. You don't have flush chances or much straight chances. He can't have QQ and you strongly block AQ. He isn't likely to limp/reraise with 33. Maybe he has QJT9, maybe a flush draw. His action preflop and flop looks like AA. You also unblock AA. I know it is folding the 2nd nuts getting 3-1, but it seems like a fold.
I thought about folding pre. But a couple of big fish were in the hand. Plus I have the strongest possible KKxx (other than KKQQds) against AAxx.

Is this better than KKQJ?
Preflop is really good against AAxx sort of face up and 2 fishes; plus you have money in so getting pot odds.
Part of why it is profitable to call the flop 3! is UTG is sort of face up AA, which allows you to make seemingly weird folds like here.
