Help understanding why two similar combos are varying so much
So I was doing a 4bet sim UTG vs BTN with hero on the BTN
Hand A) Ah Qd Jd 8h
Hand B) Ah Qd Jh 8d
Hand A is calling the 4bet about 80% of the time and folding the rest
Hand B is only calling the 4bet 20% of the time and folding the rest
Both this hands are simular enough that I wouldn't think there would be this much of a disparity between hands. Maybe I'm missing something?

A makes a straight flush vs an A hi flush
B cant
Hand B can actually make more straight flushes.*
*Fewer combinations of straight flushes overall, but straight flushes in more suits.
I find it difficult to believe that in a 4b pot, the greater combinations of straight flushes makes hand A a call 4x as often as hand B. A makes 3 combinations of straight flush while B makes 2; not only that but with UTG 4betting us, he's AA heavy, blocking 1 of those combinations of straight flush.
In the games OP is almost certainly playing in both of these are folds when you factor in the ranges players actually have + rake.
The difference between them is that A8 blocks far fewer broadway ♥ combos than AJ which blocks KJ QJ and JT ♥♥. QJ♦♦ has potential to make the 3rd NF, but also blocks 4th nut flushes meaning to get paid off in a flush vs flush scenario your opponent needs to have the 5th nut flush or worse. You don't want to block the payoff hands your opponent can have whether in practice or in a simulation where both range compositions are entirely face up.
This is the main reason why "triple suited" hands in 4C PLO suck, you heavily block the payoff hands you want your opponents to have. A hand like A♥ K♥ J♥ 4♦ is so much worse than A♥ 4♥ K♣ J♠ or even A♥ J♥ 4♥ K♣ where your flush dangler doesn't block many high ♥ combos.
