5/5/10 live: Standard with AAxx or close call?

5/5/10, 4 card PLO live, 9 handed table but this hand is 6 or 7 handed I think. Effective stack is 1060.

I have AAJ4 (AJ hh) in EP and raise to 30. Player to my left makes it 110, button calls 110, folds to me and I pot to 460. Player in the middle folds and button calls. So, there is 1050 in the pot, with 600 remaining to bet (SPR about 0.6).

Flop is Q 10 9 (ddh), not the greatest but in addition to my overpair, I do have a Jack blocker, BDFD, and broadway gutshot! Not sure it matters, but button is (like me) a thinking recreational player, but unlike me he is way more loose/aggressive, whereas I am tight.

Is this a standard shove on flop? And, if not, and I do check, am I check folding if he bets? Playing aces are amongst my biggest leaks. I know that I'm supposed to get it in on majority of flops, and this recent hand is an example of how I am unsure of how to balance denying equity (for example if he has 9 7 7 6), or this is the type of flop that just hits his range (sets, 2-pair, straights, etc.) so hard that I check/sigh/fold?

with this SPR you should always shove

Not the greatest flop but not the worst for our specific hand and board interaction so we're def not folding. Maybe some amount of merit to c/c it off if you think his range is KK heavy and he may shove them as blockers but sounds like his range should be fairly wide here so just jam yourself

We check all straight boards in 4b pots

You aren’t folding this one tho when they jam

I just checked this heuristic with a solver (CO vs BTN 4B pot). First board I checked CO shoves half his range.

I may have the heuristic mistaken for 3b pots as the PFR.

I’ll double check when I’m back home.

Getting him to fold a hand like 9865 would be a big win for us which he may do vs a jam. This guy overcalled a 3b then 4b so his range is fairly wide in this spot based on the description/read. He's also probably not jamming wo a hand that hits/has good equity so we should be jamming ourself 100%. Basically 0% he's just gonna jam with flop with 7654 or some small wrap that completely whiffed

Looks like a shove to me.

Be super thankful you have a gutshot, a blocker, and a backdoor nut flush draw with your AAxx. For half pot, this is a very clear all-in.

Even if you had dry AAxx, you should be getting the money in (via check-call) for half pot most of the time. (You can check-fold a hand like AAA2 without a backdoor flush draw.)

For full pot, you can check most of your AAxx on this flop. Then check-sigh-fold if you had dry AAxx (you shouldn't fold AAJx though).
