Using reads from previous sessions.
Ok today I was playing 2 aggro villains whose my read were cbet/bet super light on flop.
With such thinking I raised their bets on top even thinner. Turns out I got my ass owned.
Note these reads were from like a month or two ago.
Perhaps they were schooled by others at the table that they have tightened up their ranges. After I got my ass handed to me, I finally realized outdated reads are useless.

Ofc this can be true. I've also had the exact opposite experience of playing with a fish for months that literally played identical every sessions and had massive leaks/tells that he never fixed
You might have just picked the "unlucky" spots for playing back at them. Who knows? The guys I've played against for years NEVER change. It's astonishing.
