Learning PLO in 2025
What's the best way to learn the fundamentals in 2025? I got my hands on the old donkr "PLO from Scratch" PDF, which looks pretty good, but I'm not sure if its the most efficient up-to-date source for learning as a beginner. I imagine the Jeff Hwang PLO books are outdated in the solver era. The training sites (Upswing, RIO, PLO mastermind) all look pretty pricey. Any thoughts on where to start?

PLO mastermind has some free solver content.
Upswing has some free preflop charts for PLO
Also, you can probably google/ youtube a ton a free stuff
PLO launchpad by Jnandez (is part of PLO mastermind, but great course to begin). I start with Hwang book and regret very outdated and focus a lot on straight draws + combo draws, is good book for learn outs and combo draws equity but the rest not good.
Still plenty of solid fundamentals in Bob Ciaffoneβs and Stewart Reubenβs books imo.
When was PLO βsolvedβ, esp multiway?
Reubenβs How Good Is Your PLO is very informative and entertaining, but he sure loved low card starting hands.
Yes, it's entertaining! Please don't try to learn PLO from those books.
or please do!
