9 handed. H is effective at $650 and first to act.

Checks to button whoβs a maniac and while table knows heβs a maniac. Called ~$350 blind pre flop less than an orbit ago in a hold em hand.
H? Have a marginal hand and any of the other 7 players could be laying a trap for V. H only has AA with 2 set draws and 1 NFD.

Check and evaluate how they respond when he bets.
If H is first to act and V is the button, then we really can't check/reevaluate. I don't just want to check/call and let everybody in but check/repotting feels spewy.
I might . . . bet out here? We really only fear TTxx and 97xx, but there's 1 combo of TT and we're blocking 97 pretty hard, and besides we have outs against them on that board. Then we can see what everyone else does and then V can do his thing if he wants.
I guess OP forgot to mention the button bet. So H checked, it checks to button, maniac button bets and now hero next to act wonders what to do because 7 players inbetween might still be uncapped?
Sorry I missed that we are first to act. Seat change button please dealer. I would check fold when the entire world can squeeze. We are pretty dead on the bottom.
Yeah I’m a posting dumb ass. BTN pots. That’s an important part of this hand.
Nothing wrong with a check fold oop w/a one way hand with no redraws, but I canβt fault a 50-60 wtf probe bet either.
Check is best and now just fold. EZ game.
AA99hh would be much more tempting.
Appreciate it.
Results: H mucks and 4 other people call the bet making H wonder if he was too tight.
I don't care about the results but do you remember what V or any of the callers were holding
Maybe you should've just bet out 75 Hindsight obviously.
Donβt remember their holdings. I do remember that both boards bricked out for me and it ended up with two players at showdown and I would have won one of the boards with AA unimproved.
