2/2 live 8 handed 5 to call

Villain ~ has 10k+ stacks. Has such stack since I sat down.
Seems to open wide. Bet wide? Have seen him pot flop, pot turn for 180ish then fold to 580ish shove on k78ss A.
Have seen him limp/3bet squeeze vs shortstack open then 2 callers w/j97t ds.
Seems aggro but doesn't goto showdown much.

Keep betting, we have big equity, sometimes the best hand, and there are a myriad of draws to get value from. Getting raised isn’t a problem.

I think pot is a fine sizing, we fold out some hands that are better or flipping and get called by worse.

This guy probably wants to get us back for the cooler on AT6 so I would check every river.

Raise pre.

Ok we decided to check and see what he does.

Villain pots
Hero repots to 240
I saw him folding to check/raise shove before so we might have some fold equity. Even if he calls it's not end of the day?
Villain flats

Pot 720
River 7
Hero?

Not a fan of the check raise. Against his full range we are pushing equity so betting makes sense. Once he pots turn I don’t think we are favorites anymore and a check raise makes his life easy by letting him gii with the strongest part of his range. Make him play rivers in a spot where we will have high visibility and he might not.

When we make the straight on a flush completing river we should start with a check and probably fold to a bet.

Why is river a check/fold?

Why is river a check/fold?

When he pot calls turn he often has a draw. We block clubs and unblock spades weighting him towards flushes. A set or straight would often check back so he is going to have flushes and bluffs when he bets.

We have a bad bluff catcher.
