Flop nuts deepstack how to play???

2/2 live 8 handed

Rock straddle for 5 is out every single hand, preflop positions are weird.

BB rock straddles for 5.
UTG(lag) opens for 15.
some callers
Hero flats w/QQ37 in Co
very speculative call with QQ only but it's uber deepstacks.
some more callers

Effective 2500~2800
7way pot 105
Flop Q96

Utg pots for 105
His range is sets, combodraws, top2, AA+fd, KK+fd. around 2800 effective.

Aggro reg in mp flats.
Lots of draws in his range. He never slowplays. Around 2500 effective.

Hero??? Do we pot???
We have uber nitty image, our hand is faced up if we repot. They will bluff me off hand on any scare card on turn/river.
Or we slowplay and just flat???

There are like 3 more players yet to act.
Btn is a tag has roughly 2k.
Sb is a tag has roughly 800.
BB is a huge aggrofish, sticks his stack with random non nutted flush draws. He's playing with 4~500.

This hand is trash pre, we need hands that make nuts with redraw this deep, not naked nuts.

Flat and try to hit a brick or board pair. We can win on scare cards too. If a brick comes and he continues then we wreck them all with a jam. Also if we fill up and someone else makes trips or better good things are going to happen, especially in position.

All that said raising now is never a mistake with the nuts.

We call
Btn call
BB call

5way pot 525
Turn 9
Checks to hero??
We bet? size? or check back?

Bet small turn, big river.

Fold pre, flat flop is good mostly due to BB, turn bet 125 or so.

Fold pre

Pot flop. We're 5 not very worried about being bluffed on turns when there's two opponents - your hand may be faceup, but theirs aren't.

Turn I would bet in order to snag value from 9x, but not so big they're worried about qq or q9.

Ok in game we betted 175, meant 150, misclicked. Both are probably bad sizings, maybe 75~100 better.

Bb jams

we snapped.

BB shows Q9????
I thought he'd either have 9x or random draws like I've seen before.
He then said 'I knew it' after seeing our cards.

Perfect flop for him to jam with top2. Maybe he likes fd better than top2.

If he jammed on flop no way utg(lag) and aggro reg folding. Perfect spot for us to back jam.

True, perfect scenario for you and the flop flat works beautifully since BB happens to have exactly that until... he doesn't understand he should be ripping it.

I like how you played it (except for the call pre, but I do it sometimes, too). I don't like to raise this flop so deep -- I flat to keep others in and maybe someone behind will raise and then we can go for it. Also, so many turns we hate and we can just get away from, plus if we bink our hand is more disguised.

Pre should be a fold, AP though, you did the right thing by flatting to keep your range wide especially with players behind - I think super deep you can just see what happens on the turn - if it is a straight card or flush, you can get away depending on action.

This is why in PLO, one mistake can compound to the next mistake.

The mindset "flat with top set so that we can fold later" is completely wrong. The correct question in general is "can you push equity?" and in general the answer with top set is YES. I like flat only because it sets a trap that I think works often enough. Maybe what happened in the hand proves that it doesn't, though.
