Flop top set, turn decision
2/2 7 handed
V1 ~ effective 250ish. passive fish for the most part, was tilted for a few hands, now has calmed down.
V2 ~ effective 600ish. is sometimes stationy floats super wide. He gets aggro sometimes when checked to. He sometimes float random trash oop, then donk suicidal rivers as bluff on like A786A against 2 players with JJ55??? He takes non standard lines that make no sense, that I had trouble labelling him.
Hero just got stacked by v2 like an hour or two ago, our image is shot.

Keep on betting and size up some with a straight draw present. Maybe 125. Love your flop sizing.
First to act at a full table I almost never raise. Good spot for a limp raise.
Why are you potting QJJT and not AA85?

I'm up here so I play more conservative.
QJJT I was down trying to maximize ev.
I Pot ott.
In game we check planning to check/raise to get back on v2. He does have some strong ranges here sometimes. Sometimes random floats that might want to stab.
Anyhow, plan failed, v2 checks as well.
River T♠
V1 checks
Hero bets 75
All fold.
So I've tried this cbet flop x/r turn line with not much success in live plo.
It's like not much ppl fall for the old stack a donk line.
But when I have a draw, I always get a turn bet from behind if we check.
Maybe we need to play more straight forward instead of getting tricky all the time.
Check river. You’re folding out their air that might bluff while getting called or raised by pretty much only straights. If they had lower sets they would have bet the turn and we block aces up.
Bet/pot the turn, although I understand going for the check/raise -- just not enough out there for them to bet. As played, check/call (mostly) the river.
I think it's not a great spot to c/r turn. One detail you might be missing is that it's horrible for your c/r to have the 8. You want them to improve but now you block them from improving on the turn. Thus you should be less inclined to c/r and more inclined to bet yourself. My sizing on this turn is at least 75%.
I think river bet is not good. You aren't getting looked up a lot. Also here the 8 hurts a bit.
