I thought I had a decent strategy until...
Ok this was a new poker room for me, I'm still adjusting to the smaller 2/2 here.
Sat down for an hour, realized there wasn't any whales. Only saw a big spot that is aggrodonk, some seats opened up, I switched to the immediate left of aggrodonk.
This guy was opening/3betting small alot.
Stats probably something like 80/60 with 40% 3b.
So my strategy for the day was to 3bet iso any playable hand vs him.
What I didn't realize was that 3bet was too small, whole table was overcalling.
Then anyhow, the donk was donking a bit of wide range. We'd call with hands that had decent equity vs his range. It got ugly in a heartbeat, we get x/jammed from behind.
Happened twice, lost my stack.
Moral of story 3bet iso isn't a thing. Immediate left of donk sucks as well when have we decent hands but not nutted.
Back then in the other room, we felt good against maniac on our right was because not eveybody was overcalling 3bets light and we were shorter stack. We weren't playing as light of range or wasn't playing 300bb stacks.
I think strategy still should be nitting it up and not do any fancy play stuff in this room.

Look at your stats when you 3bet iso "any playable hand" vs him and realize why you aren't getting respect.
