Classic pot chop bluff.

Tryna fold whatever equity he has on bottom that beats you.

He shouldn’t ever really be checking here with AA and nut diamonds

Maybe the next decision is more interesting. Hero pots, V crai.

I think I prefer raising turn than bluffing river, but not sure how good that is with UTG still to act and only the 2nd/3rd nuts.

As to call/fold river ... both options suck, but I don't think I can find the fold as the few good hands that kind of make the most sense KQJT9cc only have half. Feel like it would be insane for you to ever scoop though, so how often does he have a random 54 or played a monster on flops for a check?

He cant ever really do this without the nuts on one board. So now we are calling for a chop. Fold. It doesnt matter really what we can sniff out, we should never be scooping here unless he specifically has a hand like AJ94 or AJ95 with the Ad.

If he can fiind a bluff with worse, tip your hat to him.

It's kind of a basic spot in hi/lo. You need to split 2/3 as you are never scooping. Most sources recommend not to call for a chop which is nonsense of course. You should call if you think you are splitting more than 2/3 of the time.

I think it's just a very obvious call unless I am misreading the boards or something. Yes he sometimes has AAQQ or AAQ9 that he checked the flop with.

A45dd scoops, AAdd too.

Yeah, AAdd is a possible c/r indeed. Not sure if it changes my opinion a lot though as he is probably mostly betting that?

You have played a ton of hi/lo so you probably should know that you can't just pot a decent hand OTR and then tank when he (check-)raises. Your comment "Maybe the next decision is more interesting. Hero pots, V crai." sounds like you think you need to pot river. You don't, especially if you are in trouble (=you don't know what to do) against a raise. River IP your pots are supposed to be polarizing.

Are you saying Hero has good showdown value and should check? I was trying to push him off better diamonds.

I am saying that not betting river is an option. Of course Hero has good showdown value!
