2/2 live - do we call river with full house?

2/2 live
$10 btn straddle, sb blind raise $20
QJ87ds

Fish opens $75, me and some random guy ive never played with until today calls as well.

Fish does not fold pre and neither does half the table a good bit of time. Even to 3bets. Otherwise I mix in 3bets with this hand.

Random guy im not sure about but is a bad player. Seen some funky stuff from him but not in any huge pots. He did call a huge whale very light in a pretty big pot but besides that nothing crazy. A lot of people call that guy light though since he torches with just about anything like gutters.

Flop 3 handed
QJ8r we have 1 bdfd.
Fish x, I x, guy that I never play with pots. We both call.

Turn 8x
Fish and me x, guy pots $710, fish call, I call

River Tx
Fish and me x, guy rips $2750, I have him covered. Fish folds. Wyd

Losing to QQ, JJ, TT. We block QQ and JJ but doesn't mean he can't have it. Hard for him to have TT unless he had something exactly like TT98 I guess? Maybe he could have T98X and thinks he's good on the river? Couldn't tell you the last time I seen a random run a bluff this big. Although technically you could say the game is way bigger blinds-wise because of the blind raise (and I know a lot of you will say "it's a 137bb shove on river" which is different if it was just a $10 straddle with no blind raise), these are the same players that play the typical 2/2 without the blind raise. This is a big pot money-wise to these players and because of this, thinking of it in blinds goes out the window a little bit. So he probably has a made hand. A lot of bad players aren't turning their 2 pairs into bluffs on turn and river. We could be chopping. With the fish calling flop and turn, I think he had an 8. He doesn't flat with the nut straight ever on the flop and no way he continues on the turn with QJ or a straight draw. Seems unlikely the guy blasting off has a straight now (what I originally put him on) since he potted the turn and river as well. Majority of the population definitely slows down at some point if they have that.

looks a lot like JJKT or even JJT9. pot pot pot like that in a $2 game... i mean it is pretty sickening

I think you should’ve led out ott with 710 yourself.

We don’t mix in PLO

3b or fold this hand

Solver is never folding this and I don’t think we should be either. I’m not

It’s more likely he has T98x

This is a question for yall, is it too nitty to fold on flop?

We're only drawing 6 outer which might or might not be live.

I think I probably fold pre then fold flop.

Shouldn't be folding pre

Really interesting spot. I think I call.

I was going to say sigh call, but the more I think about it, he'd be an idiot to pot here w/o QQ or JJ -- or at least a rare Q8 or even more unlikely TT. Sick spot.

When he doesn't slow down on the turn and pots it again, I fold on the turn until I know more about how he plays.

Having over 3,775 at a 2-2 game, isn't something I have much experience with (or even playing a 2-2-10-20 game).

But when I call $75 pre. with this hand I wouldn't be looking to hit bare top two, or even top three with a BDFD. Would want at least one of the T or 9 to be on the board, if not both.

So I'd not be looking to overcall flop, even with the first caller being a fish.

Then overcalling turn seems even worse, even though we hit, given we don't know if we are good and have maybe 3 redraws vs. better.

Would be sick if V has T98 and shoved with bottom full, but if he's not bluffing it seems unlikely he has anything else that you beat.

Hero tank folds. V says I made a good fold. Someone else at the table says show the bluff. The guy says no bluff, I had him beat because he didn't have a full house. Then flips over QJ93ss for a rivered bottom straight. Then says to me "I had the best hand right?". Come to find out, the guy is a 1/3 player who decided to dabble in PLO. Wish I had known this prior lol. So he actually did think he had the best hand the whole way.

Tbh I still don't hate the fold. General population is not ripping that much money in with a straight, a worse boat, or a bluff. The one time I was wrong here, it's probably the right exploitative fold 90% of the time imo. I'm sure theory says call since I block everything, but we aren't playing theory in 2/2 live play.

Great hand. Thanks for posting the results.
