Welp, without reading any replies, if we’re playing $50 DBBP six-handed, we’re obviously here to gamble, so I’m gambling.

XR AI. Knock β€˜em out or make β€˜em pay to draw. You could easily be scooping the fish atm.

It looks like we have a pretty good grip on our side with nuts and redraws and an extra nut blocker. General split pot strat would have us "pull them in" with a strong one-way hand rather than 'push them out."

Digging in a little more, we are essentially flipping vs JJ** (47%) but also essentially flipping vs T*** (53%). Imo, we aren't clearly making more money getting hu with someone clearly committed to gii. But 3ways vs JJ** and T*** we are nicely above fair share w ~39% making more money now.

There may be lineups where they call badly even when we raise. But you're gonna have to know when you're in them.

call flop then jam turn.
you seem to have the bottom board pretty locked up.

I was tilted when I played this hand. I didn't realize that K and Q also gave me a better straightβ€”I thought it was only 9 and A. So I calculated my equity at about 33% (because we have almost nothing on top) instead of 39% or more.

Yes, this was my initial thought.

But I didn't feel like I had the bottom locked up (see above—also TTxx still has me crushed).

This seems like a good place to post this. He wasn’t talking about bomb pots but the general principles are the same imo. https://www.stevebadger.com/poker/omaha/...

I think there is zero chance btn folds to a xr jam, for whatever that’s worth. IMHO it is important to note that DBBPs are different than O8 because of not having any qualifiers.

Calling flop also seems good so that if "our" board pairs on turn we can get away from it.

K & Q on turn can also can give someone else an even better straight.

Ah yes, I was blind to this too. I don't have the nut AKQ wrap. Man, I suck at PLO.

Note how your top % more than triples hu, which is my main reason for xjamming, along with max pressure on gutshot broadway draws.

@BullyEyeLash what software is that? can you input ranges?

StudFlopDraw. I think you can with Pro edition. $200/month

I think 24% equity top and 80% bottom, 52% average, is super optimistic. It's like 10% top and 70% bottom, 40% average. Which I guess is good enough to check-call flop, jam safe turn.

If we had just the nut straight with a hand like Q993 or Q932, does this hand become a fold?

i'd snap fold both those hands yes. i think this hand is a call on flop.
