Folding AA78 pre on MTT bubble

Folding AA78 pre on MTT bubble

I realise this is super nitty and played terribly, but I want to know overall thoughts, 10 left 9 paid, I'm 2nd shortest stack shorty has 1.5bb and is about to be hit by the blinds

Folds round to me, big stack in the BB, I minraise AA78 (suited Ace)

I knew deep down big stack was always going to jam (his 25k to my 7, blinds 400/800)

I folded here, and my reasoning is literally because I have, **** you not, final table bubbled or stone cold bubbled approx 12 mtts in the past 2 weeks with AAxx. I realise that superstition is completely dumb, but given vs most hands unless I have them dominated it's basically a flip is the fold ever OK here?

Given I was sure big stack was going to shove on me with any 4 I think I either: make the shove myself, limp, or fold outright saving chips. I think min raising knowing I was folding to a shove was simply the worst thing to possibly do in that situation, so I'm aware I completely misplayed the hand, but I want to know if in this situation the general fold is OK, or should I just be shoving every single time and taking my equity?

I ended up sun running from 789 chips left to coming 2nd so it worked out for me, but going forward I'd rather make the correct play. I personally find in PLO8 AAxx just doesn't hold up well for me, and really when it's junk other 2, which 78 basically is, I think it's foldable, could be dead wrong though.

Any opinions and feedback welcome!

You should either be going with it or open folding. Min-raising intending to fold is ridiculous.

TY I thought as much. Normally I would just rip it 100% of the time, but in this scenario it was a buy in a few above my usually level and a min cash was substantial to me. I think the lesson there is don't play outside of your BRM

Especially at the money bubble with the 1.5 short stack being in the BB soon and bb big stack. This is a perfect scenario to fold bad aces, but your min raise/fold was lighting equity on fire.

Not sure I understand. You want to raise/fold vs someone who is auto jamming?
