20/40 OE Game

Anyone ever play the 20/40 OE game over at Mohegan Sun in CT?

I grew up playing 4/8 OE but since Covid those games have all but dried up in my area.

What should I expect to sit in with in regards to BI 400, 600, 800, 1k? Usually when I played the old 4/8 OE game, it was full of miserable OMC types. With a larger game should I expect the players to be slightly less miserable?

1000 makes sense. Rack and a stack.

Most limit players are miserable up to and including 20-40. I see winning regs fling chips and throw cards and criticize fish all the time at 20-40. Don’t see it at 40-80 much.

1000 should be plenty, buy another rack if you drop to 500 imo.

That's 2 racks in any 20/40 I've ever seen. What chip denominations are they using at Mohegan?

a rack and a stack have the same monetary value

the rack is for $5 chips (5 stacks of 5s)
a stack is $25 chips (1 stack of 25s)

but my vote is for 2 racks, 2 stacks and extra chips in the pocket to top off when i lose some hands

I've never seen a 20/40 game where $25 chips were used.

The one I play in every week uses them.

Fun to call out "4 and 4" when you make it 120 on the turn.

I am a regular in this game and while I personally prefer all red chips (I usually buy-in for 2 racks) many players use a mix of red and green. Having played $20-40 limit hold-em for years the red chips always made the most sense for this structure (plus the old school regs would practically flip out if someone brought green chips into the game years ago!).
