Losing Micro Stakes Player In Need of Adivce

Losing Micro Stakes Player In Need of Adivce

Hello,

Just had a bad session and started to really think about things. I was wondering if anyone had any advice on what I should do. Basically enjoyed poker my whole life but clearly not good at it. I seem to struggle with the current mirco stake I play. I like playing 10Z on ACR cause it's quick and I can play 2 hands at the same time at a decent speed.

I've played about 300K hands in the past 3ish years and it's pretty clear that I'm a losing player and just not getting it. Lower stakes seem so easy when looking at everyone play widely but when I start implementing a tight value heavy strategy it just seems to back fire.

I know the answer is basically stop playing a study but does anyone have any useful advise? I still enjoy playing and learning about poker I'm just sick of losing money and getting my all-in's called with only AA/KK. I've used GTO poker and had a great experience with it so far so i plan on sighing up again and just learn from that but does anyone else have other advice on approaching studying small stake games?

Thanks anything help.

Stop playing zoom

It could be possible you're playing so tight that you feel more entitled to pots and could be overplaying hands like TPTK.

Learning GTO is good, but it's not really the best way to crush your current stakes. Spend more time learning the basics; pot odds, implied odds, fold equity, basic EV calcs, etc.

Other than that, maybe post your stats and some hands you've played.

If you're willing to lose 140 bi before posting this, I'll be honest that you should probably get some coaching and do some studying if you want to continue playing the same stake/format.

Do you do any studying?

Do you talk about hand histories with anyone?

Do you post on forums like this for advice/post hh?

Do you have a solver/subscription?

Do you ever get coaching?

etc.

I would move down and try and beat that first before trying to crush at a higher difficulty. Zero shame in admitting you have lots of leaks to work on and easier fields should give you a decent WR boost.

But you can't skip the variance, or study. They're integral. Having a better mindset than your opponents to the same set of challenges is where you build your edge.

You have an all in equity of 53%, so i doubt you're getting it in against AA and KK more than anyone else is.
