BTN: 101.2 BB
Hero (SB): 101.5 BB
BB: 100 BB
UTG: 101.5 BB
MP: 44.1 BB
CO: 143.5 BB
Hero posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB
Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has A♣ A♦
UTG raises to 2 BB, MP calls 2 BB, fold, BTN calls 2 BB, Hero raises to 14 BB, fold, UTG calls 12 BB, fold, BTN calls 12 BB
Flop: (45 BB, 3 players) T♣ 9♣ J♦
Hero bets 14.6 BB, UTG calls 14.6 BB, BTN raises to 87.2 BB and is all-in, HERO ???
I'm putting BTN on 99, TT or KQ here 100% of the time. What do you guys think?

I would fold even if UTG folded pre, these middle/high card textures with straights possible should scare you. Checking flop but small is probably okay.
Ac gives you equity but blocks the obvious combo draw bluffs which is the only thing I'd expect (maybe 88, or QQ if that double flats) from a non-spewy player.

Yea Ac is a double edged sword here, just as you described. I was pretty sure I'm very often dead to a set here, getting 33% pot odds - but I' very very often dead to runner runner or the lucky ace.
You should check flop even when you don't face a riase, every runout is terrible for your hand. Cbet is just building the pot you most likely will lose.
Would definitely check this flop, even if HU and IP, but given it is multi way and you are OOP it is a mandatory check I would say. As played fold for sure, can easily already be dead on this flop. There are better spots to call off IMO.
OR and 2 callers, yeah I'm bumping this up pre bigger than 14bb.
Probably folding flop
Result was kinda frustrating btw:
UTG had AQs and BTN had KK... So this was the 1/100 times I would've been good
