Monotone flop with the A high draw
V is 31 / 18 / 0 over 45 hands.
I feel like I played this hand too passively. Where would be the best opportunity to x/r? Or is donking the river a better plan.

You can raise flop even turn is fine, esp if you have info/read he wont play nutted hands like this. Without reads calling is fine your hand has ok SDV in wide range spot.
I think you played it fine.
Villain is shortstacked/fish that I'm not sure if this would be the place for a check raise.
I don't think a flop check raise is bad, but if he calls I'd probably shut it down. You unblock a lot of his value hands by removing flush draw and gutshots and when he continues after a x/r he most likely has 0 fold equity on non diamonds given the low spr.
If the stack sizes were bigger and a more thinking opponent, xr somewhere in the tree is definitely in the conversation.
