Looking for an excuse to explofold
Villain is a nit with a vpip-pfr of 16/12 over 284 hands.
My reasons for folding vs flop cbet:
- tight formation (utg vs bb)
- he 4bets even w/ a shortstack fish (makes his range much stronger)
PokerStars - $0.10 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 5 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4
UTG: 102.4 BB
CO: 121.3 BB
BTN: 166.5 BB
SB: 37 BB
Hero (BB): 101.5 BB
SB posts SB 0.5 BB, Hero posts BB 1 BB
Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has Q♠ Q♦
UTG raises to 2.5 BB, fold, fold, SB calls 2 BB, Hero raises to 13 BB, UTG raises to 26 BB, fold, Hero calls 13 BB
Flop: (54.5 BB, 2 players) 5♣ 2♠ 3♥
Hero checks, UTG bets 26 BB, fold

If you really think he's 4-betting QQ+ AK then sure (and fold pre), but I don't know if your sample is large enough to be making such a big assumption.
Gross spot. I actually had a long post advocating a call pre-flop, in this exact scenario, but then I noticed that the short-stacked SB had already flatted so nevermind that.
I don't even think that AK is much in his range here (Guys with these nitty stats tend to like flatting to 3bets with that in position) but even that has flopped a decent chunk of equity.
These kinds of marginal spots aren't where you make money, at these stakes. Best to fold and move on.
This seems insane. If you arent gonna stack off here on a perfect flop just fold preflop. 258 hands is not enough to conclude he only 4bets aces and kings.
When he min raises I think he could be trying to isolate you and not play a pot 3 -ways. It could also be that he's trying to make you overfold. Don't think we get to escape OTF
The time to make an exploitative fold is pre flop.
But once you get to this flop, you just have to ship it because you will get called by worse.
Yes fold pre. This type of player will often call AK there are no bliffs in this range when SB has 38bb.
Flop is bad. Maybe you can call with plan of donk betting brick turn and check fold AK4 turns.
alright thanks a lot guys
