Should I call? BTNvsBB (3bet pot)
Hi,
I played a hand recently and wanted to get your thoughts on it. I folded because I felt that the villain had a better hand than my top pair, but upon reviewing the hand, I realized that If villain has AK+FD, KK+ maybe I should have called.
I'm wondering what kind of hands villain might have had in this situation. I generally tend to overfold post flop, but I'm trying to improve my game by bluff catching more often.
Would you recommend calling in this situation ?
Calling down and getting a note (First hand with villain)?
I'd appreciate any thoughts or advice you have.

When he 6x your raise preflop, I feel like you can fold it there if you have no reads because he's nutted. As played though, I think call flop is fine because he is just firing out a cbet. And then bet fold turn is fine because he looks like he was trapping.
I wouldn't read too much into preflop sizing. I play like this vs 2x because I just can't be arsed to adapt 😉
Check out gtow for the alpha play here: which is 4b shove. ( but don't do that)
I also think the call is optimistic because it requries too many bluffs.
I'm usually x/jamming some AA/KK here OTT so this may as well be versus me, and I'm almost never bluffing here. Agree with FD's point about us not retroactively running solves enough though, esp when we know, or suspect we know, more about villain's range. Seems like it should be more of thing than it is?
