People taking the lead betting into you multiple times after you raised (hand 2 & 3) is indictive of a strong hand, e.g. better than one pair. Start thinking about folding on the turn.

You don't have position on hand 1, but the board is super wet (and the usual hit your opponent better than you). Check flop and hope he checks behind. If he bets flop, call and check turn again. If he fires again, see first sentence above.

Good thing micro bet sizing are so bad, you lost minimally there.

Thank you, this is super helpful

I have only looked at the second hand so far. yes, I play this the same way.
villain showed up with the top of his range set mining ( which I think only hits like approx 11% of the time , and next time, over a sample , it evens out that I make my set and get paid).

on the flop I make my backdoor flush draw ( I have implied odds) and I have good equity with my pair of queens. I have the equity to continue and I do so.
on turn I think
my hand is now average and I want to get to a showdown cheaply. I definitely don't want to build the pot with my average hand so I'm checking on turn the same as OP.
on river street villain only bets like 1/3 pot and I have the equity to call with huge showdown value. I met the top of his range this time and next time I play him for stacks with a monster hand.

I don't have any strategy to add that wasn't already said. Don't worry about these spots too much.

Welcome back to poker. Don't be discouraged. I recently returned myself after a couple of years off and feel like I got left behind. So much harder now but also soooo much easier to learn. It's a beautiful game. Good luck in the streets dude

its such a fun game right. i feel your pain ive had a nightmare couple sessions that is just going to happen, variance is very real just focus on playing well. you lost the absolute min, give yourself credit, spots reverse theres a very good chance you stack them and thats huge EV

good luck man!

All these hands look more or less fine. Nothing major to report. You should not have folded any of them.

See this as your first test from the poker gods. They're testing your mental game. Stay strong, don't tilt, grit your teeth and grind through it. An upswing is inbound. They like to test you from time to time, bastards that they are 😃

H1 Bet the river - missing a lot of value vs. J
H2 Would raise these donk bets either on flop or turn
H3 Straightforward call down. They could have a 9 but it could also be like 8's or something that doesn't know what to do.

Yeah I would be thinking about betting river in hand 1, gotta raise somewhere in hand 2, hand 3 is OK.
