Was this a good bluff or did I get lucky?

Was this a good bluff or did I get lucky?

Does this line make sense? I called flop with backdoor clubs and two overs. I called turn with the nut flush draw and on the river, I believed I could only win with a bluff and with the A I block flushes and the nut flush. There is also four to a straight and a 6 hits my range more than BTN. Should I have check-raised turn instead?

x/r flop, bet turn jam river. you block NFD (a big chunk of his continuing range vs x/r) and this board heavily favors our BB defending (flatting) range. Villain will almost always have 1 pair or worse on this texture. punish him.

This, but I would XR turn, not flop.

On the flop, NL2 players will continue with 1 pairs and any draw. I would not barrel into that turn card after having XR called on flop.

On the Turn, we rep more hands and have increased equity with the club draw if the villain continues. Also, we get more value from their bluffs and weak pairs by letting them bet turn.

NL2 players also don't care if their flush is A high or not.

They have more than you think:

A7, K7, Q7, J7, T7, 97, 87, 76, 75,
A5, K5, Q5, J5, 75, 65, 54
A3 K3, Q3
66, 44
club draws

Probably no overpairs because the turn bet is too small.

Depending on the villains stats, did you consider a 3bet preflop? I know calling has its advantages too and I do that sometimes with Ace Ten in the big blind, but worth considering

If you're calling the flop instead of raising or folding (both would be better than calling), you're check-raising this turn to this bet.
