honestly flabbergasted at what to do here. first instinct was to shove it in their face then reason came in and reason very quickly became pure confusion

Without reads* default fold

*reads in this scenario being a good gto opponent (usually never at micros) or wildish whale type

alright bet appreciate it mate! yeah no solid reads on this dude yet so fold seemed best my brain just sort of had an internal error lmao was rather flabbergasted how dare he raise my top pair :@ so best to post

also important to mention is that you are betting 50% on the flop therefore we face a pretty narrow range on turn. I would recommend going for 30% it keeps villain defend more difficult = he will do more mistakes by overfolding flop but also turns with his wider range.
As played just fold turn with no reads especially because he raises a non all in sizing wich is normaly very nutted.

ooooo thats interesting. so betting smaller would keep backdoor fds, some pocket pairs and some ax floats? where betting bigger folds them out. ok thats interesting going to incorporate that thanks a lot!

yeah his lines defo strong just really struggled to find a hand he has lol, 1 combo of JJ, could be flatting QQ, and an outrageous ammount of Ax diamond

yes correct he will need to defend wider and probably overfolding more + we have more fold eq on turn. You are welcome

I'm very reluctant to fold. This sizing seems very competent reg to me. I feel most bad regs are just jamming this so then it's either a good reg or a fish against both of which I don't think we can fold. I know if I'm villain I'm min-clickikg this with FDs and a bunch of mergy **** because I expect weak regs to make these kind of laydowns and just interpret the raise as nutted which it doesn't have to be

Also big bet is fine on the flop, probably better in theory land because we want his 2 overcards to fold for equity denial and his PPs are going to call one street anyway.

Not only is this an under bluffed spot and micros it's an under value bet spot

My little post-it says set and you should fold.
A while ago I played 2NL though.
