bluffing in a 4bet pot

bluffing in a 4bet pot

is this a mandatory bluff on the turn or river? in game i wanted to bluff river but i thought i could use my hands with less showdown value, but this is a mistake from not getting into many 4bet pots. this is the worst hand i get here with other than A5s. He can fold AK, JJ, TT

I think its played fine. No need to bluff just because you don't want to lose a hand

4b could be a bit smaller. Flop is not the greatest, maybe one of the worst for IP since OOP has a lot of Qx and 99. While IP flats almost all AQs, KQs and 99. So I would not simplify a rangebet on this specific board, and would check this combo. OTR I would just jam, I think pool has enough flats preflop with AKo and JJ/TT (GTO would jam most of these preflop).

Don't you think most players will make a crying call on rvr with TT/JJ against this line?

They don't have to fold every time, and they won't. We only need to do slightly better than checking and losing every time. At this low SPR I think people will expect some slowplays, which would make sense with hands like KK/AA and AQ with one of the flushcards. I'm not 100% sure but I think we get enough fold equity to make a jam better than checking and losing.

Yeah I’d run it geo 2 or block into jam either or

AJo is not much of a 4bet in these positions and when he 3bets small you should 4bet less overall.

You can cbet smaller. AP-I would check, all of your AQ+ will jam turn, so you rep no hands and we have some SDV.
