How to play limped pots?

Dear All,

could you provide a source on how to play limped pots?
I am particularly intrested in what to do you if you flop a top pair with weak\mediocre kicker.
- Dry\semidry boards.
- High top pair, low top pair.

Do we bet pot on flop? How to continue on later streets?

Obviously you only end up in limped pots from BB and SB the vast majority of times, otherwise you are hopeless.
