[CoinPoker] - Ex-Official - Bringing the Game Back to Players
Hello Everyone,
This is the Official Thread of CoinPoker (previous thread)
CoinPoker: The Decentralized Poker Room Built for Players, by Players
Developed by an ambitious team of poker lovers, CoinPoker is a revolutionary platform that uses blockchain technology to address key issues in the poker industry. Despite being far from our vision for CoinPoker as the biggest poker room in the world, our team is proud to be the first project of its kind to deliver on the promises made during its ICO period.
Lengthy payment processing, limited transparency on fair play, as well as a blase attitude towards community feedback are just some of the prevalent problems in today’s online poker world. Since CoinPoker launched at the end of 2017, it has attracted a growing community of players and investors who share the same goal of bringing the game back to players.
Using Decentralized Technology to Ensure Fair Play
One of the key benefits of the blockchain movement is that it empowers users by adding transparency and convenience to traditional services. Poker rooms in particularly reserve the rights to hold player funds and release them at their own discretion, and as a result of complex payment systems simple transfers can be delayed by as much as weeks.
The Benefits of Cryptocurrency Powered Bets
All deposits, withdrawals, and bets on CoinPoker are powered by the cryptocurrency token CHP (Chips). The use of CHP speeds up payments, and gives players the ability to track payments to and from their account on the public Ethereum network.
CHP token holders are able to quickly move funds to and from their CoinPoker account, and for passionate advocates of the project it is a means to invest in the platform as it continues to grow and expand. It is also possible to exchange ETH tokens to CHP inside the CoinPoker app, making it as easy to acquire as one of the most popular assets on the crypto market.
Available on a growing list of exchanges including KuCoin and HitBTC, CHP tokens are in the process of being adopted by other gaming businesses in the near future.
Player Impact Shown on a Decentralized Random Number Generator (RNG)
Fast payment processing is not the only way CoinPoker wields decentralized technology for the benefit of the player. Random number generators (RNGs) used to shuffle decks in a variety of card games (poker included) have often been scrutinized by players as mysterious and, as a result, they are often approached with suspicion.
Trust is essential between a player and poker room for the experience to be optimal, which is why CoinPoker will be introducing a fully decentralized RNG this year. The feature will be the first of its kind in the poker industry, and will give players the possibility to view their impact on dealt hands in a visual dashboard alongside hand history.
Internationally Accessible on Desktop and Mobile
Players from all over the world are able to access our desktop client, and our launch of an Android app has already resulted in thousands of players hitting the tables while on the go. Coming soon is the release of the CoinPoker app for iOS, which we expect to release this summer.
CoinPoker’s Community-Centric Business Model
Central to our operations is carefully monitoring feedback from our players. The success of our ICO is owed to a diverse group of small and large investors, many of whom are now active players, and we feel a strong obligation to make sure their needs and wants are met.
This is why we have invested heavily in hosting epically proportioned promos from the get-go, in line with the promises made during the ICO period.
Millions of CHP Awarded in Large Scale Tournaments and Promotions
Since launching, CoinPoker players were given the opportunity to win a Tesla, collect over 400ETH in various tournament series like ETH Madness, participate in a 10,000,000 CHP Added Crypto Series of Poker (CSOP), and win millions of CHP in daily freerolls
and freebuys.
Introducing Rake after Operating Rake-Free Since the 2017 Launch
After boasting zero rake on games for over half a year, CoinPoker will be introducing rake as a means to facilitate future growth. The revenue will be allocated towards future promotions, development costs, and the funding of new and ongoing partnerships with leading poker associations to establish our brand and give players exciting opportunities to play across the globe.

Why do we have to? When we signed up they had a function to easily swap in client usdt to chp and back again. If you accrue chp as rakeback and then they suddenly disable the capability to get your usdt without jumping through absurd hoops (personally have 1k+ worth of usdt), then it’s basically misrepresentation and a scam it’s not even rakeback you’re just getting a discount and it paid into chp. There’s also no way random fish are going to be doing any of this ****, plus liquidity having rake
Yep this is exactly the shady app bullshit. Imagine usdt rakeback that would put more money into the games...
If CHP is a must for rakeback how about giving the rakeback that would have gone to a player who isn't holding CHP to the player(s) in the pot who are holding CHP? This brings the game back to the players more than the current system of the house taking advantage of the arguably unnecessary system in place.
I'll keep bringing CHP up internally and sharing the negative feedback, they might reverse course as they did with the withdrawal fees - might take a bit of time as they've just put those back to zero, incurring themselves some extra operating costs as they have to pay Fireblocks some fees for every withdrawal. The CHP decision wasn't taken lightly and was also related to operating costs.
If you pay rakeback in a non-negotiable shitcoin, it isn't rakeback.
Chp doesnt bother me albeit it's a bit convoluted. However, there needs to be a way to convert chp to usdt in app, just add a fee if necessary.
Yeah rb system really sucks .
On another note why does my auto timebank not come into play in mtts when it's on me, is ther a setting i need to set or ?
Also for withdrawals it's only giving me two options for address' in a drop down menu but I don't want to use those. What to do?
putting 10k on here, possibly. To play 1/2 PLO hu. Can someone tell me why their rakeback is worthless? I don't know what the hell you guys are saying. Bitcoin illiterate.

Because rake is paid in CHP not USDT, but rake would be paid from your USDT if you have no CHP - but in turn they pay rakeback only in CHP back to you, but you can't transfer this CHP to USDT to actually use it or cash it out, so it's only used for rakeback or rake reduction more accurately. Yes you can cash out the CHP via very long winded process if you are crypto literate, but it's time consuming and expensive. They used to offer a service where you could buy and sell or essentially swap between CHP/USDT in the client so if you had 0 USDT and had a bunch of CHP, you could swap some to get some USDT and play. Now you are stuck with CHP only if you 0 the account which would be common given how you can't really trust an offshore crypto site, so people aren't going to be keeping their bankrolls here (unless they are insane) so I expect people are busting their accounts often.
Basically CP does some cool stuff, the games are (or were ok) but it seems like a gigantic scam given the rakeback system and the games will never improve if they dont fix that and make it simple for fish to understand or made automatic so there can be more USDT floating about. I must be a fish if i keep zeroing the account as I am not winning here, but then in turn I'd be playing more if I actually got my rakeback in USDT and could use it as it stands I wont play again here until I can use my rakeback - so I have a bunch og CHP stting there and I wont deposit again until it's fixed.

How is going to quickswap.io to swap the CHP into USDT within 1 minute, and simply redeposit those USDT to coinpoker, a "very long winded" process? How do you get money on the site if this is too much to ask for?

Taking off the ability to swap chp into usdt in the poker app was a low move to defend chp price.

Because it's a ridiculous ask. I deposit with eth/btc that I already have why on earth so I need to withdraw/convert/redeposit it to be abke to use it, there also fees involved if you dont already have matic etc. I'm talking about making it super simple for everyone, not just crypto native people like yourself. My father in law for example who loves poker, is not a winner and would play med-high stakes wouldn't be bothered with all this ****, you want people with money easily depositing, withdrawing and seeing their bonuses in an easy or fun way. He rececently hit a $5k chest on Stars was ecstatic about it. I havent tried to explain its because hes losing $x. Make it easy and fun and the fish will come.

If your goal is to make it a site for hard core crypto enthusiasts only, sure.
I have just enough crypto knowledge to get money on and off the site and when I read "quickswap.io", my brain automatically swapped it with "complicated scam". That's how 80+% of recs would view it as well.
Yeah, now reading through my message it sounds like I say I approve of this system (I've written this just quickly during my work-break), I certainly don't and think it should and could be made much easier.
However saying "Rakeback is worthless" or similar is also way too hard of a take. I even gave the wrong site, it's https://quickswap.exchange/#/
I understand the concerns and me giving the wrong info where to swap proves these doubts, because sometimes an exchange with the wrong ending is actually a scam-exchange.
Making Deposits/Withdrawals more easily is probably not possible (legal reasons), and if one has CHP (you can buy these within the client) and you want to exchange the CHP to USDT eventually I'm sure support will be happy to guide through (so far my interactions with them have all been helpful).
Understand all concerns though, don't get me wrong, thinking back about my first BTC-deposit a few years ago and panicking because it didn't arrive within 5 minutes, until it actually did arrive 😃 And every process should be made accessible as easy as possible for sure for reasons you guys mentioned

G-H-O-S-T provided a helpful alternative to Quickswap, to swap directly inside a MyEtherWallet, which they consider easy, cheap and fast:
Hey Guys! Make a mew myetherwallet wallet its about 5 min, set it to polygon network, send usdt on polygon with your cex (coinbase binance etc etc) to your mew wallet, swap your usdt to chp in mew wallet easy, and you could deposit with usdt than chp and thats it. Write an email to coinpoker support for delete your old connected wallet than connect your wallet with a deposit, add your mew wallet numbers and deposit. Thats it, in the future you can swap chp in your mew wallet, and use polygon net
I've used exodus for a while and swaps are very easy on that. Was just messing around with the mew wallet but i guess i would need a video or something explaining it . If i had other options for HU and rakeback i would also be gone.
Ok someone break this down for me then. I have a QuickSwap account set up connected to my Coinbase Wallet, and enough polygon for gas or w/e. I go to CHP using the link that CP have provided me so it auto finds the token etc, set the receiving token to USDT to make a swap and QuickSwap doesnt know what CHP I have and shows 0. I am sure I'm missing step like connecting the CP CHP wallet to QuickSwpa so if someone can let me know how to do this, I assumed it was linked because CP sent me the link.

Don't worry - I'm an idiot. My wallet wasn't linked.
What a palaver.
Hello ,
Thanks for being here as support
Just a weary future loyal player here.
Made a deposit for $700+ USD via coin base. Been told I used the wrong method and might face “potential losses”
I understand the case have been forwarded to the payment department but please give me a peace of mind if I’ll either be credited or refunded . A few days is a long time for not knowing if my money will be returned
Thanks

If you DM me your username I can try to hurry them up. I think in your case the money will be stuck with XGateway, rather than stuck with CoinPoker
When people accidentally send directly to CoinPoker from an unlinked wallet, it's stuck sitting on CoinPoker's wallet address, we always credit the funds once the player provides proof they were the ones who sent it i.e. the TXID of the transaction and a screenshot of the transfer leaving their wallet / exchange
However in your case it sounds like it'd be stuck with XGateway in which case you could also try to contact their support, and Coinbase also have FAQ pages on this scenario.
The dropdown list in the client when using XGateway doesn't have Base network options and then there's another warning message on the next screen
We've now added a new optional bank transfer deposit method, for those that would prefer that.
is it possible (safe/legal) to play coinpoker from the netherlands?
