[WPT Global] Official Thread
Hi 2+2ers,
Welcome to the official WPT Global thread!
WPT Global makes poker players’ dreams come true in associati
We changed his username over a year ago - this isn't usually permitted but in this case, was done on our side for internal reasons. He has never played on both accounts at the same time.
Thanks to those in this thread for their continued feedback on the client, there's another update coming in a few days which includes more fixes for the remaining UX issues.
Another update with more fixes... you make it sound like there were real updates and fixes since v2 was released. Unfortunately none of the v2 versions were playable for me, it' s absolutely crazy that it will be more than 2 weeks until I can play again.
With your big live tournaments in December and the holidays passing through, I can't imagine how many players tried the platform and were instantly discouraged by it.

this is starting to get fishy now that AlexanderY mentioned about it and Alex confirmed he was allowed to change internally. i know friends who are massive fishes were denied name change despite losing significant amount.
goldenturtle from what i recall posts huge swings daily but mostly comes out on top
After playing a ton against him and after watching his social media I must admit I'm super skeptical about him too now.
The guy doesnt look like a whale at all but sometimes plays like one, too often ends up winning in tables where he punted hard

There are too many spots where hes down quite a bit then plays almost an ATC range in 3b 4b pots to look like hes tilted and somehow recoups everything and profit piles. If he was labeled as HSP, i wouldn't be as skeptical but clearly if you spend enough time and tally his daily results for a large sample size, he must clearly be a winner on the platform. Then you add on top he offers coaching, did interviews on how he was crushing macau HS games and has all these charts on his IG advertising his coaching, he clearly is not a recreational and should not be labelled as one.
If you guys pay attention to his grind, it's super suspicious considering hes a pro.
1) He's unfiltered to all games, so why is he jumping stakes from 2 4 8 rmb to 200 400 800?
2) Sometimes he's on a table full of recreationals, he suddenly leaves that table but continues playing on other tables.
3) He occasionally pulls the most random -EV bluffs or punts you only see these vs recs who don't fold
No pros play a horrible range of hands like him then somehow gets it in bad with practically horrible equity but scoops when hes behind 30/70, 20/80. When you start factoring his random bluffs with no blockers in horrible boards or hits miracle backdoor disguised hands it is even more sketch.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JEBb9GNy... Timestamp 23min to 25min. He's grinding 2 accounts solarpoker1 and goldenturtle. Clearly, goldenturtle has superpowers backing him up in WPT, multi-accounts should be banned on WPT, yet he has no consequences for doing so. and blatantly posting it on youtube. In addition, golden has over 500k usd in his account, sure, this is required to play high stakes, but to have that amount of funds on any poker site everyday without a sweat
Isn’t this the site that openly promotes American youtubers like Brad Owen, who play on the site from Texas, on real money tables, using a VPN (allegedly, of course 😉 , when it’s suppose to be against WPT rules and their regulators license agreement.
Why does golden turtle gets special internal power to change name? My friend goat4ever on WPT global lost over 7 digits, requested for name change to change luck, and was declined, how is this fair for the general public?
I have seen goldenturtle in 50100200 call 20k pre with k7 off Q6off when effective stacks are 60-70k, very unfortunate I forgot to screen shot them. How is this sustainable in any way? For people that think he is not a winning player is because he obviously punts on some sessions to make it look like he loses, as he always punts in micro stakes and then have two tables of 2550100 winning 200k for 2 sessions, sure you can say this is “standard variance” for 2550100, but I beg to differ.
So how can anyone sustain high stakes playing like this for over 830k hands?
He is clearly a pro as indicated on IG and instagram, the jump from 248 to 100200400 is just too sketch, why would anyone do this as a pro that played 500k euro pots in Macau? This is just ridiculous wasting time to play 100usd buyin games and play high stakes at the same time, I wouldn’t even be surprised if he’s a super user as this happened previously on WPT and people got banned for it, except his internal connections are probably too powerful. Besides famous players, who would put as mentioned 500k usd on a poker site that’s not very stable globally yet such as the old poker stars or GGpoker? Even if he is not a super user, he has some sort of backend power to secure his funds without a doubt.
Apologies - I missed it but will respond now.

We required him to change his name for internal reasons (an issue caused by a bug in our back office is my understanding), it wasn't something that he requested.
I signed up in October, also signed up for the super saturday.
I canceled on 11/4 and got a confirmation.
Then two months later, I notice they are still charging me $100 a month?
I email support and explain hey what the heck, I canceled 11/4, it's January and I'm still being charged?
I was then told this was my fault for not specifying that I also wanted to cancel super Saturday. You must say those words aswell.
I asked if it was even possible to have a super Saturday subscription without a vip membership?
No response from support.
I would stay far away, thank God I have other options in my state.

What site is this regarding? This thread is about WPT Global which doesn't operate in the USA.
