Is it possible somehow to download / import hands somewhere to be able to see my graph/stats etc? :s
Also, pleeease put even just a tiny guarantee on the PLO MTTs... Im sure theyll run..
Lmao you legends <3
Better reach the guarantee now lmao ill rebuy as many times as needed!
Hello, WPTALEX
I heard WPT is no longer offering rakeback to skilled players is this true?
Hi WPT global Alex, I hope you can take a look at this tournament where the guaranteed prize pool wasn’t paid out fully. Only 79 players but prize allocated to 352 players. I believe the site should distribute the guaranteed prize pool based on the number of entrants.
We have just 3 days left of our Preheat Festival and Summer Festival satellites will begin this coming Sunday! Today's schedule:
There are 4 more day 1 flights before our $22 Mini Championship Day 2 ($80,000 GTD) begins tomorrow!
Any changes to structure or other?
I believe that this has been discussed with you ad nauseam, on the multiple other platforms you have raised this on
PokerKing is a partner on our network but I have absolutely no influence over their decisions I'm afraid, they are a completely separate company.

It is a known issue and I'm hoping it will be resolved in the next update (waiting on a date for it).

We don't have hand history functionality, but we will probably implement something to allow players to track their own gameplay in the future.
Hello, WPTALEX
I heard WPT is no longer offering rakeback to skilled players is this true?
Not quite. From 1st August we'll no longer be paying revenue share to affiliate partners on NLHE and Short Deck cash game play, on stakes where the player is classified as highly-skilled. (We're still paying rev share on all other game formats like Omaha, MTT, and spins, and on NLHE and Short Deck stakes where the player is not classified as highly-skilled).
Some affiliates who offer rakeback to pros (something we always strongly discouraged) will therefore have to adjust the deals they have given to players.
There are various reasons for this but essentially, pros are, on the whole, winning much more on WPTG before rewards than they do on other networks after rewards. It is not necessary for us to further incentivise pros to play in games that they are already crushing. The money that we previously spent doing this will be allocated to other promos and rewards.

To follow up the question, how do I know if these players are classified as highly skilled or not?
Was explained here like 45 times already their own ai classifies your playstyle - winnings/losings are irrelevant.
There is a bug now when you leave a table it doesnt close in the software itself(I guess) and when you wanna rejoin it it says table viewing limit expired(so you cant sit next 24h). Occured like 5 times to me today, always on the low stakes 4 card tables so if it happens to somebody else too might explain why volume down(since nobody can sit after joining and leaving once).
Will update if it happens more often next days.
edit: this only happened on 4card tables in the low stakes category so far not on 5card if that helps
You said a rewards/vip system is incoming, will this be open to ''high-skilled pros''?

IMHO you are greatly underestimating the drop in traffic you would have. A winning poker player doesn't think in terms of BB/100, but how much he can win on average in an hour. Considering that after being recognized as skilled players, it is often not fast to play 3/4 tables even if you are a 'table starter', you will play many fewer hands compared to a room where 6, 9, 12 tables are being played after 5 minutes of play .
Furthermore, if you often start tables something must be subtracted from the estimates you make regarding the BB 100 more that can be won on WPT compared to other poker rooms. This is because starting many tables often means playing several hands HU, 3 handed, 4 handed between regs, which considering the rake levels of your room, are situations in which you probably lose money.
If we add to the large difference in hands that are played in an hour, the fact that other rooms have rakeback, it would probably no longer be advantageous in terms of hourly profit to play on WPT.
Furthermore, since you are not allowed to play in WPT with the tracker running even if you are not using it for WPT, the option of playing on multiple poker rooms at the same time also becomes unlikely.

ya very true, for pros wpt is not gonna be enough anymore, not enough value and since you cant use hud anymore there wont be a single pro anymore on the site.
what wpt alex doesnt understand is that, on other sites you can put a lot more volume in not only because you can play more table but also because there isnt the AI table mixing thing.
even the private apps lile poker bros they wouldnt dare taking rakeback because the know its gonna be ghost town
Big day for our
There are 2 flights left for the $22 Mini Championship, with a 100 seat guaranteed feeder starting in ~60 minutes
There is 1 more feeder to the $2,100 High Roller, starting at 10:45 ET. 8 seats guaranteed for this one, and is the usual $220 BI. You can start to qualify for this from $0.55
I can change the name of the MTT to be your WPTG name...
Just to confirm - you tried to sit at a specific seat at a table, but the software sat you in a different seat, is that correct? If possible, please record a video of this so I can report it to the team. Might just be a UX issue on our end.
This happens all the time since I started grinding on WPT (10 months or so) its bug or recreational protection
To be sure I understand - you are seated at a table, but nobody joins you? What game type and stakes are you playing?
IMO it was/is/and will be almost no chance to start a new table that will become a really good table. Something is wrong with the algorithm and tables are not shown in the lobby of recreationals, or it is on purpose (this is a much higher probability)

I doubt that WPT is in a position of market strength, that this will somehow "help" the game's integrity and sustainability. A lot of regs (even small winners) will be gone soon. As mentioned, lack of HUD if somebody combines multiple poker sites + really bad liquidity of tables if tagged as HSP + software with a TON of mini bugs + an extremely huge list of banned countries...But yeah, good luck 😀
No, they won't disappear if you deposit. It might be that the above mentioned configuration problem (not enough tables being created) was affecting you, we also have more traffic now at those stakes than we did a few months ago.
Yeah, they will disappear in a few minutes / small NO. of hours after you start grinding
Thanks, I'll have a look
Out of interest do you have any filters enabled besides stakes? If not - just sit down, you're guaranteed a great game and tables at 10/20/40 fill pretty quickly.
This is how it looks all the time for me. If you sit at 10/20/40 there is for sure no guarantee of a great game, most likely very mediocre with other regulars and one 50bb 28/10 recreational
Hi Alex,
this new change is a bit of a non-sense. Here I will talk based on my experience at the 25/50/100 and 50/100/200 tables which is what I play
You are saying that WPTG wants regs to start tables and create action - i'm not sure how you can expect that to keep happening if you remove our rakeback. Most if not all our wins come's from rakeback for the major part of players. I personally pay between 30 000 to 40 000$ a month in rake to WPTG playing there full time and without rakeback there's just no point for me (and I assume many regs) playing on WPTG.
The rake on WPTG at highstakes is HUGE compared to other sites and it's not true we have 5-6 recreations per table at those stakes like at lower stakes, the ratio is more 1 to 2 recreational per table, which is pretty good - with rakeback. The rake at those tables in BB/100 are much higher compare to other sites.
I do not see how the 25/50/100 will keep running like it was if you don't have regulars starting game often like it's the case right now. You are also going in the opposite direction of what you are saying WPT wanted (reg to start games, create action/games)
My prediction is that within the first two weeks of this change at the 100+ table, the action will go from 7-8 tables peak to 2-3 tables and eventually just be a limit where regulars sit if the table is amazing and they have a seat,
I think that WPT even considering all is flawed had a pretty good thing going for all customers but this change will kill all the highstakes action, similar to what happened with GG when they tried to increase the rake (which is what WPT just did, increase our rake by near 100%)
If a known regular with a voice in the community wants to organize and start a boycott at the 25/50/100+ tables please start a thread or DM me
Haha if I'm unable to change screen name then sure, that'd be cool :P Much prefer Yazzx tho lol

Actually, keep Yazzx in the name if you do decide to continue it :P <3 WPT quickly becoming my new fave site.. I just need a new PC so I can actually put in some real volume :p
Guys, i'm pretty sure they are ****in lie with this rule.
The story is this: WPT bought the PokerKing network and pool about two years ago or something and changed the software, but PokerKing is still running for the Asian market. If you don't know what PokerKing is, I will tell you... it is supposed to serve only the Asian market. If you want to know more about this, there is already a topic here on 2+2.
My problem is not their purchase of PokerKing; my problem is that they are lying. I have a video of this segregation that PokerKing implemented about two years ago, and the reason wasn't this "skilled players and fish".. it was about winning players and losing players. If you are a winning player, you can't see the tables anymore. We, as a site, don't want winning players because they don't keep the money inside the site, which means less rake.
