Public Beta of New Client (v2.0.x)

As some of you know, in the initial version of our client we made some technology choices that enabled us to develop for multiple platforms, but which caused performance problems for some users (high CPU, GPU, memory and/or power usage, especially on devices running Windows). We now have a public beta available of a v2 client, which makes significant performance and stability improvements by upgrading the core technology.

There are no new features in this release but performance and stability should be dramatically improved compared to v1. It has been through some extensive testing and we've fixed most of the known issues, but there is certainly a chance that bugs remain.

Consider trying the beta if you're technically sophisticated and have experienced performance or stability problems. If you've had no issues so far, I'd recommend that you wait until v2 is publicly released in the coming weeks.

Hi - your first two issues may be fixed by the beta which I mention above, so it's worth trying. On the withdrawal issue, I'm not sure what the exact issue might be but there are a few possible explanations. If you please contact [email]customercare@wptglobal.com[/email] they should be able to explain why this is the case.

Please try the beta above, as it's designed to resolve performance and stability issues like this.

Your link doesn't match any of the download pages for WPT. I'm sure your link is probably fine but I don't take chances with these things. Can you add the beta to the official site please?

Also just a side note. Added Sats to my schedule and the tournament noises (clap hands etc) are extremely annoying. I can't turn them off without turning off sound completely. Can an option be added to separate these please?

Hi Alex, could you please explain how/if WPTGo.com is related to wptglobal? It seems that both WPTglobal and WPTgo are available in Thailand, can we play on either skin?

There's very little information on their website and none of their support e-mails seem to work either, but I was told Thai players are being moved to that site.

wptglobal.com is the official site, are you seeing a different link? If so could you post a screenshot?

WPTGo is a different business that I have no involvement with. WPTGlobal still accepts players from Thailand.

I asked your customer support through live chat and they’re seem not familiar with the rake back and welcome bonus. The conversation in chinese was he straight away tell me that Malaysia doesn’t have any kind of rakeback or welcome bonus promo, until i was inform by the official team email that Malaysia is actually eligible. If i didn’t ask different customer support constantly i won’t know my country is actually eligible and still be told that we’re unable to participate.

I’ve had experience of lagging and clicks delay while playing wptg pc client hope it could be fix soon.

Hello, i was wondering whats the rake and rake cap for the big ante 1 dollar bb games, is it still 4 dollar cap 4% rake as in the "Normal" 100nl games, Kind regards.

Alex, I have tried the beta and there are some issues that I have noticed.
I don't remember if any of them also exists in the previous version.

1. The most important issue is that WPT global tables steal the focus from other windows when it's my turn to act.
This makes it extremely easy to misclick as I am still making a decision on another table.
2. Chips put into the pot from some positions appear outside the table.
This makes it hard to follow the action.
3. I can't seem to clear the notification dots even after clicking on the notification.
The same is true for the menu and table games buttons on the tables. The red dots don't clear at all.

Otherwise the beta seems to freeze a lot less than the previous version, so I guess that's a positive step.

Thanks, I'll pass on that feedback. The notification thing has never worked, it annoys me too. The engineers have it on their backlog to fix but it's a low priority one.

I remember the app use to remember my buyin amount (say 200straddles) but now every time I sit down it resets my buyin back to min buyin. Can you fix this issue?

Good morning Alex. There appears to be an issue with satellite payouts.

I won a $220 feeder to the $1k satellite (for the $12k package). There were only 3 players. I knocked both out and no one else registered.

The terms on your tournament say the winner will be registered to the $1k satellite and you can't unregister. Given I have already won a seat in the $1k satellite I expected to be credited a ticket to use either to rebuy, or to use for a subsequent tournament for the same prize.

At the end of the tournament I was automatically put into the next $220 feeder with the same 2 players, which I'm sure you will agree is absurd.

I have contacted the customer support team by email but thought it was important to bring this to your attention.

Respectfully, the terms on the tournament do not mention anything about this being the case for an overlay, and awarding all 3 players the same prize into the same feeder for the same prize when there is a clear winner makes no logical sense.

Also note the response says the tournament was closed. This was not the case. The tournament was played and won.

I have also reviewed your T&Cs and FAQ and there is nothing to suggest this is how the payouts should work when there is an overlay. The only documentation is in the event details that clearly states winners will be registered

"Winners will be automatically registered for the next $12,400 WPT Passport Qualifier, with a buy-in of $1,060, starting on Sunday 17.30 UTC-5. You will not be able to unregister and must play the event."

I wonder how this will affect things for us players.

Just received an email saying I got ****ed/scammed/superused/colluded or whatever happened and i haven't played in months, somehow this tilts me even more than receiving 0$ and not knowing about it, like how much did they withdraw before this payout, what was the violation of terms of services, etc etc

There wasn't an overlay because this wasn't a guaranteed tournament. It was misconfigured (it should have had a 5 player minimum). I agree it played out weirdly and the tournament info is misleading. Please DM me your user ID.

I wonder how this will affect things for us players.

I respect Haley and she has done her best but that article is not very accurate.

Our investors appointed somebody new to look after us, and asked us to make some changes to our strategy. Unfortunately this meant that a number of roles in the company, mostly in the marketing teams, became redundant. Situations like this are always sensitive, and I want to be respectful to the people who were laid off, so I won't comment further on the specifics of that.

Overall though I think it will turn out well for players. In particular I expect the product to improve very quickly in the next few months.

The delay was unfortunate, we had a technical issue with the tool that's used to calculate and issue game integrity refunds. Yesterday we sent out a larger batch of refunds than normal because of this (just under $100k total).

Yo, i 've already heard about AI system of Wpt but now i just got this.
Play 500 hands in 1/2/4 and now i cant sit and play in most of the table.
If i give time searching and change table, maybe have 1 table or i just sit in new table, thats not suit me cause i dont really like to play short hands.
So do you guy suggest any solution?
Do i need upstake to 5/10/20 - i heard that this is in different pool so if i got restrict in low but not in mid stake.
Or how can i know which tables i can sit and play.

I could probably buy a car with the money that I have lost from lag and disconnects

This business still exist because somehow they have achieved to bring a considerable amount of recs on the tables

But after you win some money, they hide all the tables from you, forcing you to table start (and hu regs most of the time )

Depending on how good the system thinks you are you may be restricted on the stake above your current stakes. It should be obvious if you are or not if you change your filters to the next stake and keep checking the one above until you find one that gives you a lot of tables.

I'm only able to see limited CNY game on pc client but not on mobile client, what should i do?

You cant do anything about it. If you can see a table on the mobile app but not on the PC it means that you wouldnt be able to seat anyway

why am i ban from other tables?
