Suitable flop x/r?

Suitable flop x/r?

Trying to build intuition for x/r flop. Only read on villain is they went to showdown with junk semi often. Texture should be a lot more favourable for my range.

Probably not something you should do too often.

Definitely a board people will bet too often if they're using 1/3 here, so I'd XR a lot of AJ+ for value and increase the frequency of more mergy stuff like this

For this type of board, I'd prefer a more polarized check-raising range. Here’s how I’d structure it:

Strong Hands: Two Pair or better.
Draws: Combo draws, strong flush draws, and some nuts OESD/GS.
This gives you roughly a 13-15% check-raise range.

Top Pairs don’t make the cut for my check-raising range here because they can often lose value on later streets and have limited potential for improvement.

You could consider using a more mixed check-raising range.
This means adding some top pairs, middle pairs, and even weak pairs into the mix, though with a smaller frequency.

This approach, often suggested by solvers, helps provide better coverage across various runouts, making your range less predictable.
However, implementing this strategy in practice can be complex and typically provides only a small EV boost.
Therefore, while it's an interesting concept, it's not something you need to worry about at NL2.

Why you check raise this flop? If you know that villain cbets a lot so u can over bluff your range but why check raise with this equity hand.

I think that this is a kind of board which you cbet more then 1/3 pot with value hands.
