Bad flop for our hand, I imagine this is a mix in theory but I would check. Turn bet seems a bit random.

Yes turn is a check fold... And flop maybe check call is a little ev+ to my bet, but yes I dont like my turn bet

I really need my turn barrels do be doing something. This combo basically blocking folds. I would use , but i think it's mostly a gto check anyway

If the stats are indicative, villain is an Uber nit. He raises from UTG, called your 3 bet PF, then called your cbet. Do we really think that Mr. Uber nit is doing this with any hand that we can get him to fold to a second barrel ott? When Uber nit shows this much interest in a hand, he is strong. IMO it is an easy c/f on the turn.

EDIT - I didn’t read the hh fully enough. Not only did he open UTG and call our 3! PF, he did so with MP yet to act behind him. This just further makes my point. When a nitty player takes this line, what kind of range do you think he has? You are facing an overpair here a fairly high percentage of the time.

I wouldn't label him a nit after so few hands flop bet seems fine, JJ board should favor the caller but being UTG in a squeezed pot I think he'll have less than in a looser configuration and we still have all three over pairs in our range. Turn is just a check. I think it'd be better to barrell a weaker hand like KQs/ATs.

Fair enough. I didn’t read fully enough. It was a small sample. He could be card dead and not actually a nit. Still, given the PF action and the flop call, you would expect villain to have a pretty tight range, right? It would not be surprising for him to have a hand that would call a second barrel at a fairly high frequency. Seems like checking the turn is best.

I think we are in agreement here - flop cbet is fine, but shut it down on the turn.
