NL10 - JJ facing a chk/raise shove on a low board. 4bet pot line check
3bettor: 18/16, 3bet: 7%, hands: 130
BB: 42/8, hands 200. Had limp/called a lot of hands. Was obviously a thinking player and I was wary of stacking light against him
Questions:
1) On the flop I thought that there could be enough dead money to 4bet bluff my hand and my plan was to fold if one of them 5bet. Would you rather just call or fold here versus 4bet?
2) what would you do on the flop? Bet or check? And if you bet, how much? If you check and villain bet flop and turn, would you fold?
3) did villain think that my small continuation bet means weakness, should I take it into a consideration.
I dont know how to play this hand? HELP

Easy call.
Put the money in.
Not super nice spot but he can have lower PP and hands like AQ/AK so you have to gii
How you guys feel about my 4bet preflop? Is it better than a call? I have mixed feelings of preflop too

3 guys now opting putting the moneyz in. I guess it cant be wrong. Im still waiting for more possible opinions before revealing what I did. Thank you for your opinions! I am a humble man just learning about this game
Preflop is fine I believe. I just have a doubt because it's full ring and I suppose MP2 3bet vs UTG+1 is very tight in theory. But surely fine with the dead money BB added to the pot by cold calling the 3bet.
You get the best result: heads-up vs the fish with a super wide range and a low board. You won't win every time but the pot odds make it a no brainer call.
I did go all in versus his check/raise and Villain turned 88 LOL! Thank you all for answering! I just wanted to make sure if my line made any sense or did I overplay my hand. JJ and QQ are sometimes trouble hands for me.
I don't understand why we consider folding
I might prefer a jam pre but the 3bettor being tight makes me concerned.
Post I would just jam flop considering how wide a 42 VPIP player's range will be and the fact they'll probnably call all sorts of stuff. Considering folding here is out of the question entirely.
You’re risking about $9 to win about $19. That means you only have to be right about 9/28 of the time (which is a bit less than 1/3). Are you beating more than 1/3 of his shoving combos? Assuming he shoves any pair, A4 and maybe some other rando trash like A5 then yes. We probably can discount AA and maybe KK based on PF action. You lose to QQ, A4,22,33 and 55. That’s 31 combos. We beat 66-TT, which is 30 combos. Even if he did play passively with AA and KK PF he has 43 combos that beat us. Even if he shoves nothing else we beat but the pairs, we beat 30 and lose to 43. That’s 30/74. One third of 74 is just under 25, so with 30 combos we beat, it’s more than enough to call.
EDIT - forgot to add the 44 combos to the combos we beat total, but no matter; it wouldn’t change the conclusion. Calling is still correct
