Is this how it's played? What am I missing? (general strategy)
Preflop: memorized ranges for every 1v1 situation, being tighter than the range for 3bets, 4bets and all ins if the opponent is tight
Post flop:
CHECK/call (call small bets) anytime I have second pair or lower, but believe I may be winning the hand on showdown
also CHECK/fold terrible hands such as low suited connector that didn't connect at all
CBET/call donkbets with strong hands such as top pair and above, call reraises on a case-by-case situation but generally pretty tight as less variance is better
also CBET but fold to reraises with any sort of equity such as backdoor flush + overcards, or gutshot draws (do the exact same sizings and lines that I would do with a strong hand)
sizings depend on board texture, position and preflop actions.
versus an agressive maniac the goal is to slowplay a little and let them come all in
the biggest goal is to find those maniacs, if the whole table is solid and doesn't even limp, i'll go find another table
What else do I need to know? Or am I totally wrong and need to start again from zero?
I've done 4k hands of NL2 and beat if for 15bb/100, but I did not have this algorithm in my mind yet, I was just playing very tight disrespecting the preflop ranges.
I plan to start playing more "correctly" still at NL2 and see with the winrate goes up, before going to NL5. But first I would have to know what "correct" is.
Any tips appreciated
