UTG: $1.84 (92 bb)
MP: $7.05 (353 bb)
CO: $6.35 (318 bb)
BU: $2.00 (100 bb) 25/12 after 8 hands
SB: $2.06 (103 bb)
BB (Hero): $2.00 (100 bb)
Pre-Flop: ($0.03) Hero is BB with 7♣ 6♣
3 players fold, BTN raises to $0.05, 1 fold, Hero calls $0.03
Flop: ($0.11) A♣ 5♥ 4♦ (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $0.08, Hero raises to $0.26, BTN calls $0.18
I've been trying to implement more raises into my game post flop - mostly with equity but sometimes total bluffs on boards that favour my range more than villains. How is my sizing have?
Turn: ($0.63) 2♣ (2 players)
Hero bets $0.34, BTN calls $0.34
I want to ensure I'm choosing optimal bet sizings so that I'm not missing value. Thoughts on my line?
River: ($1.31) J♣ (2 players)
Hero checks,
I hate my line here on the river as I'm allowing villain to get his Ax to showdown and being unknown I can't even assume villain will try to turn his hand into a bluff either.

pre fine (can 3b or call)
flop fine (can x/r or call) --> probably prefer more calls vs. the larger cb sizing and your raise sizing is fine vs. the 75%
turn fine --> decreasing size on 4-straight turn seems okay to me
river you need to bet yourself... only reason to check river is if you think people are value betting too thin and/or have enough bluffs, neither will be the case here

Thanks for taking the time to reply with the details you have.
Pre I tend to mix in 3b or calls but more calls as I usually look at the board texture and evaluate if I can turn my hand into a bluff and get villain to fold - guess this depends on steal % and how often villain cbets but Iām not purely calling to check/fold.
Turn I usually size down vs some villains as generally I find that most will call the cbet and release their hand to another bet and by sizing down I feel I still accomplish the same results vs a larger bet plus Iām not bloating the pot going to the river.
River is certainly a spot Iām missing tons of value and as stated in the OP I have no reason to assume villain will bet river when checked to. I know my line just allows villain to check back with his hands that have a little show down value.
What sizing are you choosing on the river?
XR more vs small flop sizings, less and more polar vs the bigger ones. I think your combo is fine to XR here with the OESD + BDFD. I would go bigger OTF tho vs the bigger cbet. 100% pot. Bigger OTT to set up for the river jam, B75/small overbet. I'm fine jamming this combo BB vs BTN on this runout after taking my sizing sequence.
