[Basepoker] Unofficial Thread

Hi everyone! I'm excited to pre-launch a new online poker platform called Basepoker.com!

Basepoker allows anyone to create a poker table to play Texas Hold'em with friends.
It's similar to Pokernow but Basepoker allows crypto as chips. (of course unlimited play money as well)
For example, if you're a fan of Dogecoin, you'll be able to use Doge as chips to play against your friends.

Please check out Basepoker.com and join the waitlist!

It looks smooth and clean from opening up a table on the website. Your terms/house rules are very clear, but I don't see where you listed the rake and if USA players are allowed.

looks pretty cool... how would you choose which crypto you want to use (like Dogecoin above)? I am only seeing USDT and BCH available

It looked like each table was a different crypto. I’m assuming no one has generated a doge table.

I tried to create a table, and the only two cryptos it would allow me to choose were the USDT and BCH (only ones in the drop down menu)... looks like those might be the only two you are able to use?

looks like they recently introduced the BCH, so that may be the case... https://medium.com/@basepoker/how-to-pla...

It looks smooth and clean from opening up a table on the website. Your terms/house rules are very clear, but I don't see where you listed the rake and if USA players are allowed.

Rake is currently set as 3%! We'll prepare a page explaining the rake and cap.
If you don't want to pay rake, you can create your own table and set 0% rake and invite friends to play.
You can also "charge rake" as a host of your private table from 1% to 5%.

We are looking for players who can provide feedback about Basepoker!

We can provide some USDT so you can test the site for free!

If anyone is interested, let me know and send me your Basepoker username!

Whatever date/time you see on the site is correct because it shows you in your timezone!!

Ah, sorry. My mistake.

I see 7pm UTC on April 18 in your post, and 20:00, (in 10 hours time from now, the time being 09:22 now in the UK as I write), on April 17 on your site as read in the UK.

I can't work out how it can start in UK time 23 hours earlier than in UTC time.

Please explain.

Thanks.

Edit: I know it's a moot point at this time, because you've just cancelled the tournament owing to a lack of players, but, for future use, I'd still appreciate the explanation. Much appreciated.

Hi! Terribly sorry for not explaining correctly. The post might have an error, but our clock works based on your browser time set up. So whatever you see on the site is the correct time.
I cancelled due to someone trying to exploit the tournament by creating over 80 accounts and registering at the same time.
I'm brainstorming better ways to host freeroll tournaments for TwoPlusTwo while avoiding such attempt.
If you have any suggestion, I'd love to hear it!!

Thanks. In that case, I'd say your post did contain the error about the date and time of the tournament. Perhaps the reason for there being only three legitimate registrants when you cancelled was because people were waiting until the last few hours before the advertised start?

As for an idea to mainly avoid any fraudulent signups, how about trying something along these lines?

For the next Freeroll for established TwoPlusTwo users only, make a condition of entry to be that they must PM you here at least 24 hours before the start time, (as shown on your site šŸ˜€), with a note of the e-mail address they will be using to register.

Only allow those people to play in the Freeroll.

State the minimum number of players you need to be registered by at least 12 hours before the start time for the tournament go off.
