Usually when something happens players goto answer is : more rake. But I assume because players play faster and can't tank a minute here and there the game is faster - players get more hands hourly - more rake to the site.

I plan to develop a simple application connected to a local DB to manage my tournament results instead of using a spreadsheed like I'm doing now.

All it will do is list the tournaments I'm playing for the day and the only calculations it will involve is the total result of the day/month/whatever and bankroll updates accordingly...absolutely 0 probabilities.

I do NOT plan to sell/distribute this application at all, it's strictly for personal use.

Does anyone know if having this running on the side as I'm playing will result in a TOS breach ? (if a GG Poker representative is reading this and can answer, even better 😀 )

My name is Yaroslav, and I play on GGPoker as EP0LET. I'm sharing my story because what happened to me isn't just an isolated incident of bad luck; it's a glaring failure of GGPoker's "security" system that cost me dearly and could jeopardize any honest player.
I fought my way through Day 1 of the Shortdeck $1500 Buy-in, $500,000 GTD tournament, ending with a massive 631,436 chip stack. This wasn't just a good spot – it was a dominant position, approximately 12.63 times the starting stack, giving me an estimated equity of $18,900 at the start of Day 2. I was primed for a life-changing score.
But just hours before Day 2 kicked off, my dream turned into a nightmare. My account was SUDDENLY AND ARBITRARILY BLOCKED, with no warning, no explanation, and absolutely no opportunity to play. I immediately reached out to GGPoker support, begging for help, but was met with complete, deafening silence. They ignored me when it mattered most.
My account was only finally UNBLOCKED A FULL 24 HOURS LATER – AFTER THE TOURNAMENT HAD ALREADY ENDED! This in itself is absolute proof of my innocence; if I had committed any wrongdoing, they wouldn't have simply restored my account. The "reason" for my suspension? GGPoker’s "automatic detection system" supposedly flagged some innocent, non-poker-related programs on my PC. Let me be clear: I used ZERO unauthorized software for unfair play. My account was reinstated because their own investigation confirmed I did NOTHING WRONG! This was not my fault; this was THEIR SYSTEM'S CATASTROPHIC FAILURE!
The Unacceptable Damage: My $11,800 Loss is GGPoker's Problem, Not Mine!
Despite being unfairly blocked and forced to fold every single hand, I still technically finished in 12th place, receiving a paltry $7,100. But this is a slap in the face. I was robbed of the chance to play for the full value of my stack, which, by ICM calculations, was $18,900. GGPoker's flawed system directly caused me a direct financial loss of $11,800 ($18,900 - $7,100).
Now, GGPoker has the audacity to try and shift the blame and this financial burden onto me, the innocent player! They claim their "deep refusal" for full compensation is based on "internal risks" and "backend system security issues." I don't care about their internal problems! I was blocked without cause, lost my rightful opportunity, and suffered direct financial damage. I WAS ROBBED – PLAIN AND SIMPLE!
Demand for Justice: It's Time for the Community to Stand Up!
I am not accepting this "deep refusal." I demand full compensation for my $18,900. GGPoker cannot simply apologize for direct financial damage and walk away.
This is more than just my personal grievance. This is about the integrity of online poker and the safety of every single player on GGPoker. If their "automatic detector" can arbitrarily block a legitimate player from a major tournament, cause massive financial loss, and then refuse to compensate, what's to stop it from happening to YOU?
We cannot tolerate such treatment! We, as a community, must demand accountability from GGPoker. If my legitimate demands are not met immediately, I will:
File official complaints with EVERY available regulatory body
This is a call to action! Let's ensure GGPoker understands that their "automatic" systems cannot operate with impunity, destroying players' dreams and bankrolls without consequence. If I read it right, they blocked you in the middle of the tournament. I have read that happening to players before. What do you suggest? Let players keep playing, doing illegit things till they log out?
