Nima Jooyandeh is a scammer and a thief
mod note: This post is a cliffnotes of the actions of Nima Jooyandeh on these and other forums.
Nima Jooyandeh, who also goes by "the bay area beast" (and dozens of other names over a 10+ year history posting on the internet on various sites) stole $14,500 from poster Fubster. He has repaid $10,000 of it so far.
Some of the circumstances of the theft include taking sports bets from him acting as both a middleman for another bookie, and acting directly as a bookie himself. Stealing winnings paid out by other bookie, and scamming Fubster by not paying out the winnings from bets he booked himself after previously collecting money from losing bets that he had booked for Fubster. He also attempted to vehemently deny being the actual bet taker, and instead used a fake name of an alleged associate, who it was discovered was a fake persona used to steal (by having this fake bookie "disappear" during California wild fires).
In addition to that, here are other activities this person has participated in that have been admitted to by him on this forum, or have links posted to him being caught on other forums
1. Tried to start a book with poster HIV. Owes poster HIV ~$5K and is paying him back at a rate of $5/week.
2. Ran bets/money for Fubs.
3. Ran his own book and took bets/money as fake identity Sterling.
4. Stiffed Fub for $6k+ as Sterling.
5. Stiffed iceminers on SBR $500. Created fake identity to defend himself etc.
6. Stiffed a guy for $800 or $1000 on Rxforum.
7. Has had many accounts banned on Pickmonitor.
He spent many years pretending to be a sports tout and often started subscription services to sports picks. These subscriptions always flamed out as soon as he hit a losing streak. He would often claim things like "100% guaranteed winning picks", and "complete transparency".
You can pick up haters in online communities all you want and get by fine. I mean, haters hating might get annoying but it's gonna be ok.
When you're ****ed is when people who can ban you become haters. Then they start using hater arguments as their reasons why you need to do this or that and you're pretty much gonna get banned every single time.
My days are numbered. I got a mod hater.
That's probably why Nima can't post here. Mod haters.
I say one redeeming quality that Nima has is that he is downright hilarious.
He is also very creative with his words at times.
Also everyone can agree that he was a top producer at his collections job. When he dedicates himself to something, he provides real value.
In person, he's an amazing listener. Because he cares. He asks great questions and keeps asking more. It's not any kind of act, he cares.
That's probably a big part of why he did so well at Uber.

just to clarify: do you mean he genuinely cared about the women he had rape fantasies about or are you excluding them because he viewed them as worthless whores? exactly how well did he do? did he only drive under the influence most of the time or was he tipsy every single ride would you say?
Didn't Nima get fired from Uber/Lyft ultimately? I'm sorry guys I only Minored in Nima Studies at the 2plus2 institute and ended up sleeping thru half of the classes anyway.
Or did he lose his driving priviliges from the multiple DUI's, which caused him to lose the job? Kind of hard to say the guy was a great Uber/Lyft driver if he was repeatedly driving while drunk.
What I meant was his rating. It was perfect or close to perfect IIRC.
Which should be the strongest evidence ITT you guys don't understand him. All those passengers, from all walks of life, liked him.
are you suggesting that impressing (read: not offending) paying customers during a 10 minute car ride (where the most important task apart from maneuvering the vehicle is being polite) is some kind of enormous feat?
are you actually comparing an unknown's non-relationship with the relationships that have been built here over tens of thousands of posts spaning over several years?
people who do not know a beast have no reason to dislike him. i'm sure everyone ITT liked him before he showed his true colors. you're trying to shame us for not appreciating a beast's hue.

Is there any possible thing I could say to any of this, that would improve your impression of him at all?
I think the answer is no. There is nothing I could say. And so there is no point answering you. Your mind is made up.

I don't know but it's very telling that each time I say something clearly positive about him - this is what you guys do. Change the subject, raise adjacent counterpoints and do anything to deflect rather than just acknowledging that hey, maybe there is something decent about Nima. Maybe he is not 100% bad like we pretend he is.

You're forgetting this post by me already?

Where I post very positively of our subject Nima, fully admitting there is something decent, if not outright good, about him.
You're supposed to party hard in Vegas but not to the point of short-term memory loss! Next time when someone hands you a little white pill and tells you it's a cheeseburger, it's not actually a cheeseburger. It's ecstasy!!!

you've ignored many questions and posts. in fact, you've done it daily since you started white knighting ITT.
nobody here is under the impression that Nima is the worst human ever; we're just all in agreeance that he deserves to be called out for his bad behavior and personality traits. when his way of facing constructive criticism is suggesting he rapes one's mother, the kind treatment stops. cause and effect, you know? it boggles the mind that you fail to comprehend the situation.
did you ever think you're very just being very partial and are in the wrong?
Usually that means I didn't read them. Either because I was busy or I knew my last post got a bunch of backlash and didn't feel like arguing over it.
you're actively deleting the questions in posts which you quote. like you just did, again, in the above post. clearly you've read them at least once but most probably twice.
I just kinda got it I think. Our culture has changed in this way. People do one thing wrong and they get outed and canceled and everyone hates them forever. If Nima were an actor, he'd be kicked out of Hollywood if all of this came out.
I've gotten into many arguments elsewhere about that, like about Curt Schilling (baseball player) who isn't in the Hall of Fame I think primarily because he turned into a Twitter troll in retirement. To me that's ****ing absurd. But that's the world we live in now. You can't offend anybody or you might get canceled.
Nima has certainly offended people and i can't argue with their being offended. I don't agree with cancel culture, though.

it would be neat if you just learned something about jumping to conclusions and making false accusations. but probably not. you'll find a way to attack me still.
Curt Schilling outed Wakefield's private battle with brain cancer a few days before he died.

do not delete parts of a quote to leave the post intact! what did you think would happen when you selected certain parts and decided to remove them?
LKJ does the Lord's work in here. I give him 5 stars, maybe 10 depending on the scale, and vote him Nima Police in perpetuity.
Sad to hear about Nima killing hookers in Brazil. I wonder if they're onto him yet.
lol, this guy sucks
He's no Beast, that's for sure
I am posting this as a good samaritan.
This thread is a collection of some truly sick and twisted individuals, basically a bunch of jealous haters and losers who have sad and underprivileged lives. It is what it is. It continues to this day for 10 years because Nima hit them where it hurts, he told them the truth about how sad, disturbed, and pathetic their lives are. They continue to throw insults and make accusations despite the fact that the threads are considered legendary, the content was h
Now this? This is Nima.
That's def Nima. Can we get an O/U on # of posts before the first profanity filled tirade?
I read that in Trump's voice and couldn't stop laughing. I was stoned, but still.
